The flavor is so good, but the portion size has shrunk. Very disappointing - I would rather support local restaurants, but that’s tough when the chains offer significantly more food for the same price.

Enjoyed a very pleasant meal at Odens for Sunday lunch. The barbecue is good with two good sauce choices. Delicious sweet tea as well.
On top of everything, fast friendly service. I would recommend to anyone in the area. This was my first visit and will return next time I am around Belton.

Everyone was friendly and kind. The food came out in a timely manner. Good about drink refills. The fried chicken special was delicious. Many side choices. Everyone at our table raved about how good the fried okra was.
Kid-friendliness: Had a kids menu and waitress and staff very friendly to kids. Offered crayons and coloring pages.

We hadn't been to Oden's for quite some time, due to several fires and long term closures. When we discovered that they had reopened, we decided to try them again. We're so glad that we did! I'm a fiend for chicken fried chicken, and this is some of the best that I've ever had. I lived in Texas for 6 years, and that is chicken friend steak/chicken mecca. Oden's CFC stood on its own 2 legs with the best that Texas had to offer. The chicken was hot and moist, not too thick or thin, breading was crisp and flavorful, and the gravy had a pleasing, slightly peppery taste to it. Most of the gravy that I've tasted in these parts is bland and tasteless and has about as much flavor as candle wax. Don't want to scare the old folks, I suppose (of which I am one). The hot rolls and butter are also to die for. My wife was thoroughly pleased with her selections, too. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. Prices are reasonable. We're glad to have Oden's open again in Belton, and we hope to become regulars if they can maintain their current level of quality.

Not fine dining for sure nor is it good home cooking. Steak was a lower quality cut of steak. Not tender or juicy. Dry. Taste commiserate with lower quality of the meat. Crinkle cut fries were dry and pretty tasteless. The curly q's were slightly better. Fried mushrooms not bad. Chicken was undercooked and raw on inside of the breast. Our waitress was great and tried her best but the food is just subpar. I can't recommend.

Great food, great service, was a full house so it did take some time to get our food. One of my sides and one of my wife's sides were missing. They brought mine, but still forgot my wife's. They did end up making up for it. Definitely will return.
