Sad news at Sneeds. We have been eating at Sneeds since they opened. New owners have replaced a lot of the staff. Maurice was let go! We are so sad. No more hand cut fries. They are commercial fries out of a bag. They have changed the beans, they were really bad. The meat quality has also changed. No more delicious burnt end, they are soggy and full of fat. My brisket was not trimmed - no more small coleslaw with your meal. So sad….

Been going since I was a kid, have always loved it.went in 2 weeks ago to find out that they have gotten rid of the handcut fries. Not a fan of what yhey have now at all! Onion rings were not the same either. Quit changing the original things this great place has had! And I have eaten here for over 50 years!

First review I’ve ever left online, had to do it. Ive been getting food here roughly twice a month for a while now. I’ve managed expectations by this point bc the location is very convenient for me but this was really really bad with all 3 items I got. Burger (they don’t ask for internal temp, usually cook well which I don’t mind) was very raw on the inside. I had to put it in the oven to cook a little more. Garden salad was probably 1/2 to 2/3 the amount as usual. Longest fry was probably an inch, it was horrible. Ive had underwhelming experiences here with take out orders in the past but never had issues with every item I got (hence the review now). I understand everyone has off days and I have a good baseline here since I’ve been a customer for over half a decade now, but this was so bad I felt I needed to leave this. Hopefully the right people see this. I get that restaurants treat take out customers different than dine-in with quality and quantity, but you might want to re consider offering take out if that order makes it out the door.

Well, just had a mixed burnt end and sausage plate w/fries. Burnt ends were okay. No real smoke, could use more seasoning. Sausage had good flavor, finer/dense grind. Sweeter bbq sauce, without a lot of depth. Helped the meat. Fries were flavorful but a bit greasy/limp

Terrible service and the food was not great. The staff were all seemingly unhappy. I did not get a single refill on tea. The food took a long time to come out. The appetizer came WITH the food. The fried mushrooms were cold. I ordered burnt ends and got brisket. The brisket was “dry” My father got catfish that was incredibly overcooked. To the point of being burnt. My wife got Ribs and they seemed good. The good part is that the waitress agreed and removed my fathers fish from the bill.

I ordered a combo plate with 2 meats and 2 sides. The sides were the stars, potato salad and cole slaw were the best part of the meal. I had sausage as a meat, it was sliced thin lengthwise so texture was odd and not much for flavor. Brisket looked smoked but super dense and tasted more like roast beef. Mild sauce was OK flavor wise, spicy was vinegary and not spicy. Mixed together was best. Service was quick. It's BBQ so it should be. Server was friendly and attentive. Value for food = portions were decent but just so so food so price was a little high for what it was. Definitely not KC famed BBQ experience.
