I love this place, the food, atmosphere, and the staff are amazing.

Dietary restrictions: There are vegetarian options and plain dishes for sodium restrictions

Parking: The parking lot is all gravel, not a lot of room cause it's off the highway and a side street

Kid-friendliness: There are kid friendly games and coloring books and crayons

Wheelchair accessibility: The parking lot is gravel so it's good for anyone in a wheelchair but once you get inside there is lots of room and wheelchair accessible tables

This is only my 2nd time visiting and I must say the staff (2 ladies) were excellent. They were busy and "short staffed", however you wouldn't know it. They did a fantastic job and the food was delicious! We will be returning!

What a great place! On the advice of a friend, I rode 2 hours just to have breakfast here.Food was pretty good. Portions were nice and price was reasonable. This is what small-town dining is all about. Community and knowing all your patrons. Great atmosphere where you could tell everyone knows each other. When I told the hostess I drove from St. Louis just for the breakfast she pulled the owner (who was cooking at the time) out to meet me. Absolutely love the friendliness and welcome I received.Great place to visit if you're passing through.

Very friendly place, no waiting, great portions and DELICIOUS!! Tried the Hungry Wolf Omelette, loaded with ham, bacon and sausage and covered in melted cheese which I then covered in a delicious two pack of their House Salsa, excellent salsa as well! Hash Browns, wheat toast buttered with four choices of jellies, Orange Marmalade, Apple Butter, Strawberry and Grape. All were delightful! I practically locked my plate clean! LOL. That's how good it was! I didn't even leave a crumb. They serve coffee, soda and teas, with no charge refills, very rare nowadays in restaurants, especially the big chain ones like Den___'s, you know which ones I'm talking about! That's why I prefer the owner owned & operated cafes, diners and family restaurants! You get better food, larger portions, better prices AND WAY better service in the mom & pop places. I think the corporate chains are slowly choking out the clientele with higher prices every THREE MONTHS, shrinking their portions and removing endless refills! I don't think you get a refill without paying for it in ANY of the chain restaurants nowadays! Support local business and support the mom & pop places. I've never had bad luck sticking to that rule! If you're not sure where to eat in a strange town, try and look for the Ambulance, fire trucks and police cars. THEY don't get paid enough, work hard and have to usually rush their meals to help us, the public! So if they are eating there, you know the portions, price AND service is one of the best in THAT town!! And if you can afford it, pick up the tab for their meal once in awhile, you never know when you just might NEED their help! Be it someone breaking into your home, your place is on fire, the few minutes you have when your heart stops or terrible auto accident! And please remember that your waitress gets what, $3.75/hr because she gets tips? She could work at the big fast food chains now with their mandatory $15/hr. and make more! But here she stays with her excellent customer service and never letting your cup go dry before, during or after your meal while juggling how many other tables and all those customers at each table? I ALWAYS tip remembering ALL of that when I get the check. And even when I don't get the check I make SURE to leave extra cash on the table if my friends have forgotten to leave a good tip. I try to make it easy on my poor math skills by doing a third of the bill in cash for the hard working waitresses out there. Some are even trying to make it as a single parent! So they certainly could use a good tip! My buddy had the Guacamole Burger, all the fixings and fries. He said the meal was outstanding, best he ever had, proportions were just right and he never saw the bottom of his coffee cup, she was that efficient! Five Stars in my book! I'll definitely be back as I do business now and then in Bland, Missouri and I'm anxious to try the Big Papa Mushroom Burger! There are several others but I struggled with my choice of those two before ordering as we landed there right in the Brunch window. Not that it mattered because Granny's serves breakfast till 2 pm!! That's right, you can sleep in and still get breakfast even when everyone else is eating lunch! And they're so nice and friendly there I don't think they'd mind if you rolled out of bed, got in your car and came in your onesy PJ's!! Enjoy!!

Sign on door say closes at 11 to prepare for lunch. Walked in door at 9:24 . Was told they could not serve us. To read sign on door. I almost grabbed her by the hair walked her to the door, so she could read the sign. Most likely she couldn’t tell time herself. How do people run a business turning customers away. Pretty sad.

Worth the wait because your food will be fresh, home made excellence. It is not fast so come with a relaxed mindset and you will be thrilled. Great people and great food.
