54th Street Scratch Grill & Bar

54 used to be the best chain restaurant in town. Today they let us down.

Starting with the most important part, the food. My Mac Daddy & Cheese is no longer a giant portion of cavatappi noodles, crumbled bacon, and cut up chicken strips. It's a medium portion of underdone noodles with overcooked bacon and grilled chicken. My son's favorite boneless chicken wings appetizer is down from ~20 wings to ~10, for more money. My wife's Havana Club was at least still good. But gone are the days of the beautiful honey wheat loaf with your steak.

On the bright side, they swapped the round tables for square, so my party of 9 was able to feel like we were actually sitting together. But the chairs were less comfortable and wider, so one side of the table was squished.

The service was good, though they failed to tell us that there are no longer kids menus, you have to go online for them to order.

Overall, it's just not worth the money and the wait anymore.

Since covid we have been eating here atleast once a week no matter if its 1030 at night or 5pm our food is delicious and hot

We ordered online and picked up. The food was good but our steaks were a bit overcooked and my grilled vegetables were a bit overcharred.

We had a wonderful dining experience overall. The food was absolutely amazing, and every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Ashley at the bar was top notch—friendly, attentive, and clearly skilled at what she does.

During our meal, one server repeatedly and very aggressively called out “corner” each time they came around a turn directly behind our table. While we understand the importance of communication among staff, the volume and tone were disruptive to our experience.

That said, front-of-house manager Elana handled the situation professionally and with genuine care. She listened to our concern and addressed it promptly, which we truly appreciated.

Thanks to the outstanding food, Ashley’s excellent service, and Elana’s thoughtful management, we would definitely return.

This is my $5 side of asparagus. 3 stalks. So $1.67 per stalk. Also their tacos (2) are underwhelming for like $14 with rice. But hey, the person who brought out my order was nice. #ripoff

The chicken avocado sandwich was delicious as was the side of brussel sprouts! I know beer should be beer no matter were I have it but tried 2 and both seemed different from other restaurants and not for the better. The service was outstanding!

Service was good for the most part, but I got food poisoning, I ordered a chicken sandwich after that I went home and have a very bad stomach ache and i throw up, I can said i pretty much never throw up or it's been so long i can even remember, but i got so sick i was throwing up all night.
