I feel like Backyard is one of those places that don't need much introduction. It's always clean, staff is friendly, and the food is somewhere between McDonald's and Red Robin. My favorite is the Swiss Mushroom Burger, and it's always good. I think the mushrooms are fresh, not canned, which is a huge plus. The seasoned fries are meh to me, but the waffle fries are delicious (unless they've been sitting under a heat lamp until they get chewy, which I have had happen, though thankfully not often.) Prices are around $10-12 for a combo. This is not one of my daughter's favorite places, because she doesn't like potatoey fries or spice, and there are no toys or crayons for kids. They're closed on Sunday, and have one of my favorite fish sandwiches, when I'm in the mood for it.

Just as good as I remember Backyard Burgers being! I hadn't eaten at one in probably a decade. Service was fast and friendly. Order was accurate. Bathroom was clean. Fanta Orange soda on tap. Regular Coke products and Dr. Pepper. I highly recommend the SOUTHWEST BBQ BACON Burger! For those who have never eaten at a BYB, their burgers have a strong "flame broiled" flavor, like a much, much, MUCH better version of BK. The seasoned fries were delicious. I'm not a waffle fry kind of guy; but I remember theirs being very good when I was growing up. Priced like regular fast food. If you are in the area, I highly recommend giving them a try as an alternative to bigger chain fast food restaurants.

Reinventing Fast Food Burger Joint?! YES! One of the only places left with food that is "sit down" quality and affordable prices. The food is a burst of flavor in your mouth. And it didn't break the budget at $51 for my family of 5! Adding this to my go-to spots in Blue Springs!

Back Yard Burger has the BEST, high quality ingredient foods!! I have never had a disappointment at any of their locations and I've been dining there for well over 25 years.I am very sad that there are only 2 locations left in the greater KC metro area. For my family, its worth the drive as they are no longer close to where we live and its always a highly anticipated treat for us.The burgers are flame broiled, they have fully loaded (optional) baked potatoes (not the tiny ones you sometimes get elsewhere, either), fries too & amazing strawberry salads, year round.I can't say enough good things about them. There is no other place I can honestly say I've never been disappointed, ever. Prices are very reasonable and they have a combo meal card that once they fill it up with stamps, you get a free combo meal!. If you've never tried Back Yard Burger before, or if it's been a while, you should definitely treat yourself as soon as you are able. 5 gold stars & 2 thumbs up!! ? ??⭐️?⭐️?
Vegetarian options: Strawberry walnut side salad, oh so tasty & vegetarian!
Dietary restrictions: Make any sandwich gluten-free with a lettuce wrap instead of a bun.

I don't know what has happen to this place, but the food smelled like it was fixed in bad oil or fish. I haven't been there for awhile and thought this would be a nice change. I won't do that again. Very disappointing!

Stopped going here YEARS ago !!! Reason? The burgers are MEH! Plain and unappealing meat. Overpriced too! And I see they force religion on us non-believers too by being closed on Sundays. And I would bet one MILLION dollars that they do NOT give to charity, what they would RAKE in on Sundays if they were open, just like those self appointed Messiahs at Chick-fil-a!!!!
