Oh my goodness, the staff is so efficient and caring. All down home food that sticks to your ribs. Gotta love this place.
I have never been to Sandy's, and I will not be back. The service was good, but the food was not great. Eggs and bacon were fine, but I had waffles, which were not fluffy and airy, but undercooked and doughy , and there was so much sugar in the batter, you were crunching on undissolved sugar. My friend exchanged her pancake with me, and it was too much salt in the batter. How do you mess up pancakes ??! I was unimpressed.
Food was better a couple of years ago
While it wasn't terrible, I wasn't impressed. The food was decent, and the service was okay, the overall vibe was just meh. The restaurant is wanting a diner vibe in a space that is easily double or triple that size. The feeling is that you're eating in a basement church hall or a school cafeteria than a sit-down restaurant.
Eat here weekly. Always get the tenderloin. I have yet to ever finish one… until today. I hope today was an off day because the tenderloin I was given today was literally about 1/3 the size I’ve come accustomed to eating here the last few years. Really wish I would have taken a picture

Nothing special. You can find small restaurants all over the midwest that look just like this one, tucked into the back of a strip mall with their cheap metal chairs, old and worn linoleum floors, and overly bright lighting. We stopped in here for breakfast and with only two people the bill was $45 including a regular 15% tip. I expect a lot more class for that kind of money, and you don't get it here. The food is fine, nothing special, nothing bad. Just expensive!

Breakfest tenderloin was great, toast was burnt, again, hash browns cold, again, and my over easy egg, u could used as a hockey puck, never came back to ask how things were, but staff made sure city of blue springs city council members and admin. Had their free breakfest. I will spend my tax $ in independence
Sandy's has a great menu. They serve breakfast all day. The tenderloins are the best I have eaten. Very happy with my meal every time I go there.
