Funny how time changes things, They need to just change their working hours from 11-8 to 11-7. tried to order some ribs at 7:30 and was met with 11 people working and me being the only customer ordering at 7:30 they refused to serve me the food after I ordered it. after 20 minutes i asked where it was and they were visibly indignant. i had to ask for money back, at that point you it was a bad situation just from asking where the food was. they are not the same, they are the worst i have seen in Kansas City. .

Been eating here for 30 plus years. However, have slowly witnessed the quality of meat declining, especially the ribs which I used to love. Last week, I ordered a half slab to split with my father as neither of us could eat much more. Its the first time I literally could not rip the meat from the bone. The meat was like rubber. I've never had an experience like that anywhere. Granted, I know meat costs are sky high right now. But, those ribs were not eatable. They did offer to refund out entire dinner. I said just refund the ribs. We'll pay for the fries and drinks. And, they did. Its so sad to see a place we used to love literally bottom out. Im afraid we won't be able to stomach eating here any longer. How is it, establishments like Slaps can produce ribs you can pull the bone clean out of? We eat bar b q everywhere in kc. Zarda is not even on our list any longer. What are you now serving? GRADE E BEEF? You guys destroyed the brand serving that garbage.

Had a smell in here not sure what but it was not appealing . Bbq sauce was extremely overpowering. But that just my thought . The food was good , just too much sauce in the beans and burnt ends .
Good BBQ, more like fast food service. Order at counter, and go get your own food.

Zarda is perfect as a middle of the road price point and dining establishment for KC BBQ! I think it hits the perfect threshold between upper class, over-priced BBQ and still providing a nice dining room with quality, excellent tasting food! Would absolutely return multiple times.
