We really wanted to like it but the food was meh. The inside was nice. No salt or pepper. The burger was dry and the beef and cheese was tasteless. You cannot request how the meat is cooked. They said it would be juicy. Not true. Too bad because the place is really nicely appointed.

I ordered The Roast on Pita and it was phenomenal. Fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I’ll definitely be coming back! The homemade Mac & Cheese was the perfect touch! Oh and please do yourself a favor and get the Spinach Artichoke dip to start! 🤍

We stopped by last night for dinner at this place. Great experience! Debra had the Fall Cobb salad and loved it! I had the Pork tenders with apples and Brussel sprouts. Both entrees were outstanding! The Fall salad had corn relish and black beans in addition to the tried and true Cobb Salad elements. Yum! I can’t say enough compliments about the pork, It was sliced (1/2 inch thick), breaded, and deep fried. Yummy! She puts a locally made chutney sauce with it, perfect balance.! I love Brussels and have had a lot of them, these were in the top 3!! The Brussels and apples mix had an apple sauce carrier. Lovely! Debra had a Manhattan while our food was being prepared. It was wonderful!! We will be back!

Basil & Bourbon came highly recommended to me by my clients and it did not disappoint!! I had the coconut shrimp salad which was phenomenal!! My family had the club sandwich with salad, and the coffee burger, which she raved about!! We will definitely be back to try other options on the menu...but wait, the orange chocolate cake was absolutely the best I've ever tasted 😋!!!!! The waiter was great and it didn't take us long to get our food. Definitely will recommend this place to others!

Found this place by accident! The grilled peach burger was so good and my husband had the jalapeño burger that had a jalapeño cream cheese instead of a mayo. My husband had the 10 year old Widow Jane bourbon. OH boy was it tasty and smooth. We will have to start taking the long way to Springfield so we can come back!

I think for Bolivar, small town, standards, this would seem more on the unique and elegant side. However, my husband ordered a salad with blackened shrimp, blue cheese on the side. The shrimp weren't blackened at all. He said the shrimp tasted like frozen and thawed shrimp from the grocery. The dressing that he was given wasn't what he ordered but was their house dressing and it wasn't good. I think they were going for vinegar and oil, but it was 85% oil. Blah! I ordered the Bourbon and Coffee burger. It was a couple of steps above fast food, although the patty seemed like a premade one like you'd buy at Costco that added a bit of seasoning to. The restaurant has great ideas, but they fall flat on execution.
