Honest Review of Billy Gail's in Branson, MO I recently visited Billy Gail's in Branson, and overall, it was a good experience with a few ups and downs. Starting with the positives—the service from my server and the front-of-house supervisor was excellent. Once I was seated, my server was attentive and friendly, and the food was very good. The portions were generous, and the flavors were exactly what you’d hope for from a place known for homestyle cooking. However, the initial impression wasn’t quite as welcoming. The hostess gave off a rather cold and distant vibe upon arrival, which set a bit of a negative tone at the start. Additionally, it took about 20 to 30 minutes before I was even greeted by my server. It turns out she hadn’t been alerted by the hostess that I had been seated, which explains the delay—but it was still a bit frustrating. Despite the rocky start, the good food and strong service from my server and the supervisor made up for it. I’d definitely give Billy Gail's another try, especially since the food and service (once it got going) were solid. Hopefully, they can smooth out the front-of-house communication to create a more welcoming first impression.
We had an amazing breakfast. We all walked away stuffed. Miracle was our waitress and she did an outstanding job. We enjoyed everything. Chicken fried chicken was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The pancakes were so fluffy and good. The grits were great. Highly recommend this place. Best place we have eaten in Branson this week.
Awesome food and service.
I was in there on Saturday 19th and I must say I had the best server I have ever had in branson in the past 2 years anywhere I have eaten. She was very professional and polite her name was Lindley I am so grateful there are still people like her still around that take pride in their job great job Lindley !

I suppose if you're into huge portions of mediocre food this place is ok, but that's just not for us.
We both ordered the biscuits and gravy platter. The gravy was very thick and gloopy with very little sausage and minimal seasoning. The biscuits were large and pretty flaky, but we needed a thinner gravy to so we could choke them down. Everything came quickly but was just lukewarm.
Service was sharp.
Had to wait a few minutes for a seat, but SO worth the wait!!! The food was excellent! Service was great! Will stop there again when we are in the area!!!

We could not stop hearing the hype, so we checked it out. The service was terrible, & food was mediocre and overrated. The waitress was incredibly rude and unhelpful. The 14" pancake was awful and rubbery. The worst part of the experience was I started feeling ill before we even got the check. I had to rush to the bathroom and got incredibly sick. Never going back.

Disappointed. We come to Branson regularly and have wanted to try this place. Our service tonight was terrible and the food was mixed. Our drinks were empty for at least 15 minutes. I finally flagged our server down for refills. My daughter’s bacon was hard, dark, and tasted burnt (and we like crispy bacon). It looked even worse in person than this picture because phone auto adjusts picture. We asked for different bacon. It came out the same. We asked for the kitchen manager. He told us that is just how it is. But it doesn’t look like that on restaurant page or in other people’s post? Our chicken fried steaks came out with a small (maybe 2-3 tablespoons) of gravy—covering maybe 1/6 of the meat at most. Not at all like the pictures. We asked for more gravy. After 15 minutes waiting and our food getting cold, I flagged her down. She finally brought a small amount 5 minutes later and said “that is all they have.” But they had literally just served the man next to us with plenty of gravy. She brought more about 10 minutes later and said it was “fresh.” It was stone cold. After getting our check, we waited 10 minutes for her to take our payment. My husband went to front to pay, but they wouldn’t let us pay there. She finally came to take our payment. We will never go back.
