Black Oak Grill

Ordered an entree and the waitress informed us they were out of it. Made another choice and they were also out of it. The chicken fried steak was brought on the same plate as the runny veggies. Therefore, the steak was soggy. They brought another steak and the breading was falling off of it and was very gristly and hard to cut.

One of the worst ribeyes I have ever had.No taste whatever.Meat loaf was just as bad.This was Sat.evening June 21st,2025.Either fire the manager or cook or BOTH!!!

Had lunch with a group of 10 adults and children. Service was great and wait staff very attentive. All the food was great and reasonably priced.

Afternoon stop, place was cool and welcoming. Service was nice and friendly.

I can't remember a better steak than the cheese burger I eat here. AWESOM. REALLY

Lunch was great! My husband and I got the nachos as an appetizer and the half club sandwich and salad for lunch. The food was delicious and the portions were perfect. I would definitely recommend.

The air conditioner is having trouble but that shouldn't deter you from partaking. The menu has salads, burgers, seafood, chicken, and apps. I want to give this place 4 stars because because they buy higher quality ingredients and taste made from scratch, nothing frozen or canned, aside from maybe some sauces. But my critique is that the grilled meatloaf should have been actually grilled. It had no indication of grilling.. which I'd expect some carmelization or burned bits. As a grilled meatloaf it failed, but I'd go back and try other things. The skins and prime rib was fantastic and their potato mash was special and unique.

Went with a large party as we had reservations. We had over 30 people & they gave us 1 server. She overlooked us 4 times on drinks so we had to go to bar to get, then she overlooked us on food order. Spoke to manager & he had server come over & she was snotty when she asked what we wanted, so we left & won't be back!

Unique flavors very good food for all ages

Food was fantastic and the service was great. We chose this over Paula Deens since there was no wait time and do not regret it

Very poor service, and and the quality was not what we expected.

The greeter was amazing. Bread and fried pickles AMAZING!!! Now our server (Juju) who I’m guessing was a manager because she was the only one not in all black. She was HORRIBLE!!! She was not friendly(at least to my husband and I) the tables surrounding us she was laughing, joking, checking on them. We sat with the dirty dishes from the bread you receive when you first sit down for the entire meal. She not once came to see if we were okay or needed anything else. My husband stared in the direction of where she was to make eye contact for the check for about 7 minutes and she never even looked. She eventually walked to the table behind us and my husband said “excuse me miss?” She turned her back and in a snappy voice said “ONE SECOND SIR!!” She then came over and said “how can I help you?” He asked for the bill after we were only there for about 35 minutes. And the atmosphere was so nice and we really anticipated a nice evening there since we are visiting from out of town. We were originally talking about visiting every time we come in town since we are frequent visitors. Because of the service we didn’t even want to finish our food or take it to go. Ice cream place down the walk was more welcoming… that says a lot.

My favorite dish at Black Oak Grill is the BBQ macaroni and cheese. I love the combination.
The service is very attentive and I can always get a late cup of coffee.

The wait time was 35 minutes and the place was half empty. Ended up sitting at the bar, the bartender wasn’t very attentive. My lady got a Cosmo and she thought it was the worst she’s ever had. When the food came it was cold and there was another gentleman at the bar saying his food was cold also. Overall not a good experience wouldn’t recommend for a $80 dinner for two.

Horrible service, dirty silverware and staff sitting around eating and goofing off in the back of the restaurant. Restaurant extremely cold and it is bad when you watch the staff clean their silverware before eating.
