Black Oak Grill

The atmosphere is good ( although servers were at the next table doing side work) and our server was outstanding. However, the food was not good. The ribeye was overcooked and mostly fat. Mashed potatoes and veggies were just “meh”. The 4 cheese grilled cheese was cold and had a single slice of we of roasted red pepper. Disappointing.

Rustic western decor right on the walkway in Branson Landing, this was a terrific luncheon find. Raphel our waiter was very attentive. Started with buttermilk batter fried mushrooms - delicious. My husband had the Ruben sandwich - thick and juicy corn beef on pumpernickel bread, with fries that he loved. I had the Smoked Chicken and Spinach salad with a warm vinaigrette dressing - lots of chicken, bacon, goat cheese, cranberries, pumpkin seeds - all very fresh and delicious. Pleased also that the pricing was not jacked up like we saw in many other places. We will be back!

Black Oak Grill is located in beautiful Branson Landing near the riverwalk. He ordered Rubin which was delicious. It was served with fries. I ordered Chicken fried steak which is served with white gravy, mashed potatoes and delicious zucchini. Very good. We planned for dessert but were too full. We highly recommend for a good, wholesome meal.

Wait staff do not chk on you after food is delivered. Tea is in small glass, no refills. Order was wrong. Food was good, however, it is hard to eat a meal without enough liquid. Tea is very expensive and we probably had no more than 8 ounces at the most given all of the ice in the small glass. No water was served with the meal. A manager needs to walk around and check on tables if the wait staff are not able to do it. I’m thinking my waitress could not speak English or she wouldn’t have gotten so many things wrong with our initial order.

Ordered an entree and the waitress informed us they were out of it. Made another choice and they were also out of it. The chicken fried steak was brought on the same plate as the runny veggies. Therefore, the steak was soggy. They brought another steak and the breading was falling off of it and was very gristly and hard to cut.

One of the worst ribeyes I have ever had.No taste whatever.Meat loaf was just as bad.This was Sat.evening June 21st,2025.Either fire the manager or cook or BOTH!!!

Had lunch with a group of 10 adults and children. Service was great and wait staff very attentive. All the food was great and reasonably priced.

Afternoon stop, place was cool and welcoming. Service was nice and friendly.

I can't remember a better steak than the cheese burger I eat here. AWESOM. REALLY

Lunch was great! My husband and I got the nachos as an appetizer and the half club sandwich and salad for lunch. The food was delicious and the portions were perfect. I would definitely recommend.

The air conditioner is having trouble but that shouldn't deter you from partaking. The menu has salads, burgers, seafood, chicken, and apps. I want to give this place 4 stars because because they buy higher quality ingredients and taste made from scratch, nothing frozen or canned, aside from maybe some sauces. But my critique is that the grilled meatloaf should have been actually grilled. It had no indication of grilling.. which I'd expect some carmelization or burned bits. As a grilled meatloaf it failed, but I'd go back and try other things. The skins and prime rib was fantastic and their potato mash was special and unique.

Went with a large party as we had reservations. We had over 30 people & they gave us 1 server. She overlooked us 4 times on drinks so we had to go to bar to get, then she overlooked us on food order. Spoke to manager & he had server come over & she was snotty when she asked what we wanted, so we left & won't be back!

We wanted a nice meal on our last night of vacation. My husband's steak was tough and medium well - he ordered medium rare. My salmon had very little flavor and the rice was very dry. We could have had a better meal at a Texas Roadhouse for less money and with bread and salad!

Unique flavors very good food for all ages

Food was fantastic and the service was great. We chose this over Paula Deens since there was no wait time and do not regret it
