This was our second stop on our self guided wine tasting tour. The fact that the tasting room is closed off made this experience feel personal, and the staff were exceptional. Some carry away food for sale up front was appreciated, but you cannot eat in the Tasting Room, so worry about buying food later if you can wait. Had a great time here.
Tour was not miserably long and we enjoyed the experience. Not an incredible amount of history during the tour aside from 1-2 things. But the wine making process was informative and wine tasting part was great. We took home a full case. Fantastic wine would purchase again.
She was not very friendly and they didn't have much of a selection on hand.
Just went there. They were out of pretty much everything. The lady ask what we were looking for and when we told her, she became rude. She let us know they had none and that she had been cursed at by others because of it. I guess she thought we were going to do that also. Needless to say, we left, and went to St James Winery. Curling Vine lost our business.
We've been here every year for the past 10 years. It's a must with us. The grandkids love the juice tasting and don't allow us adults to sit with them while they sample. Hopefully this is still done or my grandkids will be heartbroken. They talk about it all the time and we have to buy a case of the juices before we leave.
We visited the winery as a group of four adults. We had five kids with us and they were offered juice and welcomed to sit anywhere away from the bar during the tasting. The server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He made recommendations based on what we liked and disliked, he gave us new glasses if we sampled a wine that was very different than our others, and he made suggestions for things other than wine that were available in the store. We made a purchase that we would not have normally bought because of a sample he offered. We will be happy to visit again.
The wines that we tried here were very good. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. It would be nice if you could sample more than 5 wines, even if there was a charge. I would have liked to see the moonshine still exhibit but wasn't willing to pay the price they wanted to go in and see it.
We were looking to sample and buy some wine. When we went for tasting , we were told they were out of about half of their bottles . We sampled a few , with very little help , and moved on to a Real winery .
Very friendly staff. Sampling was very nice with knowledge staff. Gift shop also reasonably priced.
Why bother offering a tasting? The empty unkept parking lot should have been a clue. I was told by the clerk at the register to select 5 to sample. I said I would leave it up to the wine tender. I was told no, I had to pick first. This is supposed to be a yasting... you know where you get to try the wine and figure out what you do and don't like. If I knew what which of thier wines I liked I wouldn't need the tasting. I didn't waist my time and went onward.

This winery had several good wines and a great employee to guide us through the tastings. My friend and I are mainly dry wine drinkers and taste whenever we travel. We have been up and down California wine regions so we were surprised by the quality we encountered in Missouri. Most we liked were off dry, but these are what I like to have on hand for friends & family who don’t like my dry reds. We left with a case. ?
Stopped in to sample some wines and was blown away by how friendly and knowledgeable the staff was! You can tell that everyone there really enjoys their job. Loved everything I sampled and walked away with a bottle of Vidal Blanc and their sherry! If you are looking to sample wine, or enjoy a glass/ bottle this is the place to go!
We went today and had a wonderful time. The wine was good but what made the experience great was Keith. He was friendly, funny and knowledgeable! We highly recommend!!
best wine around and the staff is amazing...
