Believe the folks that say to come here for the fried chicken! Holy smokes! Crispy, moist, and tender fried chicken with seasoning that makes your mouth water. Yes, this is a pizza place. Actually, it’s a chicken place disguised as a pizza place. The pizza buffet had a nice selection and new pizzas were added every 20 mins or so. The monkey bread dessert pizza!? *chefs kiss* The salad bar was tasty though something seemed a little off with the ranch dressing. All in all, though, I highly recommend Godfathers!

12 noon on a Friday. Pizza was marginal. Chicken was ok, but I had to wait for 15 minutes for more to be put out. There were only 4 cars in the lot. Only 6 cold pizzas slices were left, and they did not bring anymore out while I was there. On lunch break, so I had to leave. Other customers were asking as well.

I used to love this place. I would ring out of town guests there, recmend it to others and enjoy it myself. Since it sold ive become very disillusioned. The staff is not friendly or helpful as before, the chicken is picked over and left on the buffet until it's dried up, they can't even tell when the buffet opens..said it depended on how busy they are, and now they are charging 3% for debit or credit cards...they need to learn from the previous staff
We ordered a speciality supreme pizza no olives and mushrooms on half as well as got the buffet. My hubby asked about it and the guy told him he forgot about it. They then finally get it in after about 5-8 mins. We finally get it and its wrong. No bell peppers and no onions were on it.

I and my family of 8 went to eat here and paid $140 for the buffet, but by the time we went to grab pizza, there were no options whatsoever. They had a salad bar and fried chicken. We waited about 20 minutes for pizza to come out by the time pizza came out, Other people were also waiting, and the pizza would be gone as it came out. For a buffet and the price we paid, you'd think they would have pizza ready and available. You can do better. This was our fast time there and will be our last. The picture included was once we were leaving. At this time, they at least had an option available.

I was super sick and just needed some mashed potatoes. I went through the drive up window and the girl was super rude when saying this is something they’ve never been ok with. Although at least once a week through my pregnancy craving I did that exact thing. So I sent my daughter in to order same girl then explains she has no idea how to ring that up and has never heard such a thing as only getting mashed potatoes. $13 later I get the crunchiest mashed potatoes and the smallest portion cup of gravy.

It looks like a hurried regular pizza joint and the pizza's were thin and helpless, the Original Godfathers Pizza concept has been lost here.
I worked for Godfathers Pizza in the early 80s, and their pizza was thick, cheesy, and had you wanting to come back and believe me, everyone did.

First time visitor to Godfather's Pizza. My family and I tried T figure out which would be better, two pizzas or buffet; our hostess helped us decide.
The buffet included salad, pizza, hot food such as fried chicken, veggies, pasta, etc. There was also a dessert bar (drinks were included as well).
Once you pay you're pretty much on your own, as it is help yourself.
All in all, the food was okay. The restaurant as well as restrooms were very clean. The employees were kind and helpful.
If you're in a hurry and don't feel like waiting it's a great place to visit.

The people that work here just don't care. The salad bin was empty for our ENTIRE visit and we even asked for salad to be put out, but was completely ignored by the staff. The chicken was good, but the pizza was not very good.

With full disclosure, I used to be the General Manager of this location under the direction of the original owners. However, I can honestly say my visit on 10/2 was utterly terrible. My experience started with a very limited selection of pizzas to choose from on the buffet. I got some thin crust and some thick crust and then went to the chicken bar to get some of, what I expected to be, the fabulous broasted chicken and sides. My wife chose some breadsticks and vegetables.
I was very excited to eat at this location due to it always being absolutely delicious. I attempted to eat a piece of the Golden Butter Pan pizza only to discover it was very firm and not easily bitten. I could tell it had risen and then collapsed and then would not rise again. It was a day old pizza and was terrible. I then tried the mixed vegetables and green beans. They did not taste the same as I remembered. They tasted “off” like they were soured. I then bit into the piece of chicken I had selected and discovered it was barely warm. It also had a weird taste. My wife’s breadstick experience was awful as well. It was not the fluffy breadstick dough that was expected and was likely a substitute dough that should not have been used for a breadstick.
On top of the terrible food was the total lack of service. No one came around to check on us and we cleared our own table.
I am extremely disappointed in this restaurant I had once been so proud to manage. The new owners have changed recipes and decided to cut costs and it shows. I used to tell everyone I came across to give Godfather’s a try if you have never tried them. But now I cannot suggest someone spend $40 for awful food and terrible service. I hope the new owners will go back to the way things were done when David and Kathy owned it but I do not expect they will. I will not ever return and I will tell people to spend their money elsewhere in Branson.
