my family comes to Branson every year for the shows at sight and sound theatre. Every year we come to uptown cafe, we are either there for lunch or dinner. This weekend (April 11th to April 13 2025). The 11th we went for dinner again there was 6 of us. We had lousy burgers and cold fries with no making it right we will not return. What it cost us for dinner we could of gone down road and had steak for less. Can't believe something that has been a regular for eight years has come to an end. HOPE YOU CAN IMPROVE TO THE OLD CAFE YOU USE TO BE!!!
I wasn’t impressed by the food. To me it seemed like bar food where the grease hadn’t been changed in a while. Poor quality and poor customer service.
The were horrible. We spent most of our time trying to keep the off the food. There were 5 swarming at one time. The food was sub par. My son ordered a 6oz stake that looked like a grilled Hamburger patty. I had fish tacos and all that for $60. Not too impressed. Table was sticky and one waitress asked me to hand her our salt so that she could swap it out.

Really good breakfast food and we loved the live music!
Service was terrible. It took almost 2 hours to get our food. Highly don’t recommend and my group has worked in food service and definitely understand. They weren’t even busy when we were here. It was ridiculous.
Long wait, terrible service. The music was not good and too loud. I would not go back here. Food was ok, but wait and service make experience awful.
One of the saddest banana splits I have ever had. Whip cream looked like marshmallow and the serving size was small for the amount we paid. The ice cream scoops was about half the size they should have been. We have been in Branson all week and this was the worst experience we have encountered
We really enjoyed this place. Went for breakfast, not knowing they had a buffet. It was very good, hot, they kept it stocked. Our server was good. And there was a singer on the stage - he was good too!
We loved this spot for breakfast and imagine it would be great for lunch or dinner too. The decor is "down home" comforting and nostalgic, no matter how old or young you are. The service was great and friendly, and the food was excellent. We liked it so much that we wished we had more time in Branson to visit again.
Live music is local fare, but Lisa sounded Great! Bucky burger had unique flavor, chicken and fresh fruit was tasty. Good vibe in 50's style soda shop.

We walked in at 11:07 on a Monday morning. The hostess immediately informed us that they had stopped serving breakfast and that it would be at least 30 minutes before she could seat us for lunch. As we turned to leave, she said, "Have a blessed day". There was no effort at service recovery. Really poor customer service.
We visited this restaurant for dinner before a show. After being seated, we were ignored. We left after waiting over five minutes without anyone acknowledging we were sitting in one of their booths.
I try to visit this restaurant when I'm in town, at least 4 or 5 times a year. For the most part, everyone seems to be pretty nice, including the waiters/waitress as well. What is nice is after the shows in Branson late in the evening, we like to grab something to eat before going home. I believe on Friday and Saturday nights they normally have someone singing to entertain the customers, and they ONLY get paid by customers tips. We were getting ready to leave when a BAD storm came around 11:00PM Saturday evening. One of the ladies up front desk offer to walk me to my car with her umbrella to keep me from getting wet. Then she went back and when I got ready to pick up my friend at the door, she walked with her with the umbrella over her head too. This was very accommodating, and was so appreciative.
We visited on Labor Day before we made our long ride home. This was our first trip to this restaurant. It was around 9:30am. Not busy, lots of tables left, but getting busy as we sat. They are short staffed like everyone else. Our waitress worked her tail off trying to stay caught up with orders, bussing her tables, and also helping prep cook. I had a great view of the kitchen. I saw kitchen employees wearing gloves and washing their hands. I liked that. One server, not ours, kept wiping sweat off his face with the palms of his hands then rubbing his hands together. Then back to gathering orders. I am so glad we didn’t get him. Our server was very clean and careful. It did take a long time to get our food. Like over a half hour, and as I said they were not to busy yet. I think it was just a time management thing. I was ok with it, because it was really good. They play music there, even at 9:30am! Loudly, haha! We were seated off to the side by the kitchen, which I was ok with. It would have been to loud for the family to easily talk otherwise. It was good 50s music. The singer did a great job and I could hear him engaging the crowd. The food tasted really good and the portions were large. We has went to country buffet one morning and we felt this food here was amazing and way better. The omelette my son got was just awesome. It was very large and fluffy. It had everything he asked for and it was not overcooked. Biscuits and gravy were very flavorful and the french toast tasted like what I make at home. I cook a lot for a large family and this breakfast was very good. Bathrooms were clean and smelled nice. They were stocked well at 9:30. Whoever did nightshift the night before did good cleaning them. I gave 4 stars because of the one male employee… it grossed me out watching him constantly wiping his sweat off and wiping his nose then touching food. He needs to stop doing that. It’s definitely a transfer of germs. We had a dirty fork as well…someone should have caught that when they rolled the silverware. As a former server you just have to watch that. It’s the dishwasher that didn’t clean it, but whoever wrapped it definitely should have seen the dried potatoes on it. We would eat here again, and I would recommend you try it! The menu was pretty great. They had breakfast through dinner and desserts!
We stopped for a late afternoon meal and were treated to some Great Entertainment. The food was Outstanding , I recommend the Club Sandwich but everything else was good. The Couple that was performing were really good and interacted with the crowd. Good food , Good Fun , Good service and fair prices. Check it out.
