Mahi Mahi Mexican has a lot of potential. The vibe is cool, and there’s plenty of space for kids to play, which makes it feel like an inviting, family‑friendly spot.

Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to that potential. It took forever to get our food, and when it finally arrived, the tacos were just okay, nothing special. The restaurant turned off their open sign about an hour early, which wasn’t a big deal, but then they also turned off some of the seating lights, so we ended up eating in the dark, which was strange. They also didn’t get my order right, which added to the overall frustration.

There’s clearly some charm and good ideas behind the place, but the execution missed the mark. Overall, not the best experience, I probably wouldn’t recommend it.

Mahi Mahi is really a great place to hangout , really cool ambience and the food is delicious too . We were lucky to find it that day during our trip ,we had good food !

Amazing all around. The food was great, variety of options even for people with allergies or different food choices. Area for the kiddos to play was so nice so we could enjoy our meal. Highly recommend! The owners were so kind.

We've been to this place several times, and the food seems better every time we go. Javier is very personable and very conscientious about the food he cooks. Each time I'm there I look at what my friends order so I know what to order the next time, also. It's a wonderful place!

Wife got shrimp tacos and I got a barbacoa, quesabirria (x2), and the octopus taco (sounded interesting). Shrimp tacos were completely unseasoned and all of the meat from every taco tasted like it had been left out overnight and just thrown on horribly made tortilla shells… the queso/chorizo dip was just thrown in a styrofoam box and was floating in a pool of grease… the only thing that was edible was the cheese quesadilla we got for our 19-month old son. Highly DO NOT recommend unless you want to waste $50+ on below average slop..

Great atmosphere, the margaritas were good (we tried the Paloma and the Classic) food was tasty too, I had the Asada Bowl…it was a lot of food! The guacamole was very good!

Food was so amazing we came back 2 days later. The tacos, burritos, bowls were all fantastic! The guacamole was probably the best I have ever ate! The owner is very friendly and the service is wonderful. if you are in the Branson area it is a must stop!!

absolutely amazing food... first time having octopus and it was delicious. Also tried the MAHI Mahi... I literally can't put into words how good this place is.

I don’t mean to be dramatic but these are honestly some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The flavor is phenomenal and the quality is elite. The customer service is top notch. Such friendly folks here. The menu has lots of great options and the prices are reasonable.

My family and I went to Mahi Mahi for the first time and it did not disappoint! All of our food was fresh, authentic, and delicious. So good! The staff were very hospitable, they really cared to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied (without being over the top). Their outdoor area is super cute with lots of seating options and yard games, it's a good spot for families or groups. I was a little worried about the outdoor seating with cooler weather setting in, but the main dining section had partitions up to block any wind, and heaters available to keep us toasty if we needed. Highly recommend the Mahi taco and Tamarindo margaritas :) So refreshing to get Mexican food not smothered in sauce, and seafood that's fresh, not super fishy! We will definitely be back!

Javier has created a very special authentic Mexican “restaurant “, food truck with incredible outdoor dining, sure to please the whole family. Handmade tortillas, horchata, chorizo, posole… all authentic and delicious! I always take my family here when they visit from CA, it’s THAT GOOD!!!
