Missouri Ridge Distillery & Brewery

We went after seeing an advertisement for free tours. Our kids wanted to see the process, and maybe at the end, sample a couple products. As soon as we walked in, we were encouraged to sit at the bar or at a table and order drinks. Our daughter, who is 21, was made to feel uncomfortable as the bartender assumed she was not 21, instead of just asking her for an ID. He looked at her and said that those under 21 can’t be at the bar. The tone in which it was said left her feeling very unwelcome. The rest of us were put off by the interaction as well. Asking for an ID or asking her age, rather than making an incorrect assumption, would have been more professional, respectful, and welcoming. We asked about a tour, which is advertised on billboards in Branson as well as on TV. The bartender said, in short, that they do tours when someone is available. He literally left us with a, “We’ll see,” and added, “You can’t just go in there.” I’m not sure why he thought he needed to add that comment, as we definitely aren’t just going to waltz in there without permission. Furthermore, the bartender never asked the two employees in the distillery if it was even possible to accommodate our request. We ended up just standing around for several minutes, looking in the windows of the distillery. After it was clear that no one was going to clarify whether they could give us the tour or not, we left. We said “thank you” to the bartender. I’m not sure why we thanked him, other than an effort on our part to make an odd situation feel a bit more polite. The bartender just shrugged his shoulders. No “You’re welcome” or “Come again.” Although we would’t expect to interfere with a business’s production, the fact nobody was clear on whether they were too busy to give a tour and left us all hanging, was awkward. There was not even an effort to accommodate our request or explanation as to why it wouldn’t be possible. We left feeling both disappointed and confused. If an explanation had been made about whether they could or couldn’t do a tour, rather than just leaving us standing around, I think we would have had a more comfortable and positive experience. Our review is based on: 1) Lack of clarification at our request for a tour. 2) An awkward exchange with our daughter. 3) Overall, a very unwelcoming environment for us.

We went in on Saturday 9/27 and there were 4 people at the bar. We looked over the menu and decided on a cocktail. We sat down at the bar & the bartender continued to talk with the 4 people at the other end of the bar who were swapping stories. The bartender completely ignored us so we got up and left. We went on to Copper Run, did a tasting, had a cocktail and went home with a bottle. We will not waste our time going back somewhere that we are ignored.

Great place! The drinks were delicious and people were so friendly and welcoming. Food sounded good, but we had just eaten before we got there, so looking forward to trying their BBQ next time.

I'm not a liquor guy so I didn't try them unfortunately.. However, the Golden Ale on tap was actually super flavorful. Best thing was the guy running the bar.. Friendly, attentive, offered up some great recommendations.. Highly recommend this one.

Good looking facility, the bourbon was good but I'm was not happy with the server, I'm a bourbon lover and have been to many of the big distilleries and smaller distilleries, whenever we travel I try to find a distillery to try there goods. I'm not saying I'm a sommelier, but I know how to do a tasting, I was disappointed when I was directed on how to enjoy the white lightning. I enjoy alot of moonshine and high heat bourbons, I was not there to get drunk, just wanted to sample some good whiskey and shine.

This was our 2nd trip in two years. As soon as we walked in the door Jamie recognized us and gave us a great welcome. He is extremely knowledgeable. After we sampled some moonshine and whiskey we enjoyed a bourbon mule and an apple, butterscotch and cinnamon moonshine creation. Greg steered us to some great catfish at Flat Creek. Great trip for a couple from Maryland. We WILL be back.

Friendly staff and enjoyed the taste testing. Made some purchases and excited to take them back to Florida. If they make it!

I've been to Missouri Ridge Distillery twice because of Springfield's Tap and Pour tour! Both times were fantastic experiences. I recommend doing the tasting. If you want a cocktail, I highly recommend the Three Dog Night. Today we got a nice surprise of a tour of the distillery, and Gary came to chat with us a bit. Both Gary and Jamie were very friendly and attentive.

We make it a point to come here every time we visit Branson. Quality alcohol, wonderful flavor and taste.

This place was amazing! 3rd Gen Owner. Jamie was extremely knowledgeable and fun! Felt like we were visiting with an old friend. He really took his time with the tasting and explained each whiskey and moonshine thoroughly. This place is a MUST STOP AT!!!! Feels like home. Will definitely go back several more times!

I recently visited Missouri Ridge and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and exceptional customer service that made me feel right at home.

The selection of bourbon and moonshine was absolutely top-notch. Their bourbon is rich and flavorful, perfect for sipping or mixing into a classic cocktail. The moonshine, on the other hand, is a delightful surprise—smooth with a unique twist that sets it apart from anything I've tried before.

It's clear that the team is passionate about their craft, and it shows in every sip. If you're looking for premium spirits to stock your bar, you absolutely need to check this place out. I left with a couple of bottles and can't wait to share them with friends. Highly recommend! Cheers! 🥃
