Mr G's Chicago Pizza & Pub

Started out promising with a cute venue and a server letting us know we could push tables together and our server would be with us momentarily. And that is where the positive ended. Our server did come, we ordered drinks, and food. Our cheesy garlic bread, the kind in the box at Walmart, came out and we were promised flatware and plates, but we were forgotten. So 10+ minutes later when we managed to catch her our bread was cold our drinks needed attention. The excuse was they were busy, but 2/3 of the restaurant was empty. We got our “Chicago” style pizza but it was not Chicago style it was just regular pizza with cheese put on first and marinara and toppings on top. Over all the food was about the same as you get at Walmart in a box. Service was awful. And cost was low but we all left wishing we had chosen anywhere else to eat. They did get busy by the end of our “meal” but our server was quick with our check. The best part of the whole thing was leaving.

This has become our regular date night spot for months now. Wonderful atmosphere, amazing food and the best service out there! Highly recommend.

If you’re craving real Chicago-style pizza, Mr. G’s delivers—big time.
The crust is perfect, but it’s the Italian sausage that keeps me coming back. I might be addicted.

The service is always friendly and quick, and the whole place has that old-school pizza joint vibe that just feels right.

Only downside? Parking could be better. But honestly, it’s worth the walk.

Great bruschetta! I haven't had some in a very long time. Pizza was good, wish I asked for more cheese. Great spot for good pizza. Only thing, it's not deep dish like I had in Chicago.

Needs handicap parking and easier way to get in with disabilities. But everything else is great!

Not the Chicago deep dish pizza I am used to but ask for a sample of goat peppers, they are delicious

My wife and I were born and raised in Chicago on Chicago style Pizza We went to Mr. G’s February 13 for Valentine’s Day because well, of course I had to work Valentine’s Day We really enjoyed not only the pizza, but the atmosphere Looking forward to our next visit in which we will order the deep dish and take people withus because yes, they are that good

It's quite the good Chicago style pizza. Definitely go there again

This seems to be the place where the locals hang out, very friendly atmosphere. I'm not into deep dish pizza so much but decided to try it out since that's what they are famous for. It was excellent! Also, they have a good selection of draft beers and they are cheap! Will definitely return on our next trip.

Pizza is good but when it arrives room temperature at your table and you complain to your waitress it’s going to be your fault and they will not apologize and you will not get a visit from the manager. You get 20% off MAX, as we were told. Then if you leave a poor review the owner will respond that you don’t deserve more because you took the pizza home. So I should pay 80% for a room temperature pizza and leave it behind? Hey manager, get off you duff and talk to your guests. Maybe your waitress is covering her ass so she won’t get in trouble for forgetting an order.
Update-best pizza in Branson. Glad we gave it a second chance. Deep dish is the way to go. Servers are usually friendly. Never had a repeat of our initial experience.
