Coming from Oklahoma/Texas for comparison, Oscar's brisket was mid at best. Lots of fatty pieces, not very flavorful. However, the reason I'm still giving four stars is the overall benefits here vs. other food options in the area. Oscar's is affordable, fast, and easy. We had our food (brisket sandwich and brisket nachos) handed to us within two minutes of ordering. The staff/service was very friendly, and the outdoor seating option was nice. Also, multiple BBQ sauces are available to help with flavor.
If you want to skip wait times and just get some decent food efficiently, while also supporting a local business, you could do worse. Oscar's keeps it simple in an area where that's needed.

We have always made it a point stop here when in Branson. This visit was very disappointing, the oversized kid working the front counter was extremely rude. The chopped brisket was chunked not chopped and full of so much fat, I maybe got half a sandwich out of it. The hubbys meal had so much grissel, he had to keep spitting it out into his napkins. Don't think we will ever go back.... So very Disappointing!

We are part-timers in Branson so are able to experience a lot of the local restaurants. Oscars is fantastic! You must try the meaty beans, really… don’t pass those up. The staff is always fantastic as well, nice and clean too. Go get you some!

We were in Branson for just a few days and Oscar's was only open for one of them. So I broke one of my food rules. If a food is in the name, you have to order it. I went with a sampler platter instead to make the most of my time. I could not order anything less than half a rack of ribs and knew I could not have stomach space for it, plus the sampler plate. It came with chopped brisket, pulled pork, chopped chicken, a hot link and polish sausage. A lot of food for two people even. The brisket and hotlink were my favorite. Polish sausage followed by the pork and chicken. It came with a side of meaty beans, which I liked. We also got a side of smoked Mac and cheese, which I was kinda disappointed in. All this was 24 dollars, a great deal. Sauce was also good. A small dining area, but the building itself has a classic hole in the wall appeal. Super friendly service. We got better bbq in OKC, but give Oscar's a try. Go with the ribs though, follow the food rule.

Our friends , who are part time locals, took us to Oscar’s today. The food was great and priced well! I would recommend for anyone that lives in Branson or just there for a visit to eat at Oscar’s!
