My husband and I had a mixed experience. Starting with the high - I ordered the Rack of Lamb, with baked potato and asparagus. The lamb was perfectly seasoned and cooked and was just delicious. Baked potato was large and excellent. Asparagus, however, were overcooked and too salty. But the lamb trumped it all. Unfortunately, my husband's fried fish platter was very underwhelming for a $30 dinner. You can see from the picture that the portion of oysters was tiny, and overcooked. The fish was very dry and not tasty. The shrimp, however, was good, as was the fried okra. Service was just okay. Despite the relatively small number of people in the restaurant (early on a Sunday afternoon) and that we had ordered expensive dinners and not lunches, no one checked to see how we liked our meals. That is a miss on their part.
There is a reason the parking lot is packed! We went on a Wednesday evening and Kate was our bartender and Mike was the general manager! Along with the $1 fresh oyster offerings on Wednesday evenings, Kate couldn’t have been more pleasant while satisfying everyone in the bar area! Mike was covering everywhere he was needed from behind the bar to busing tables! He was also checking with customers to make sure their food was exactly the way they ordered it! We were so impressed, we returned on Thursday evening to a full parking lot! We once again sat at our favorite place, the bar, and Andrea was working! Now this girl was on fire with a full bar area and a full restaurant! She kept us all pleased, was pleasant, kept things tidy, and was quick to fill empty glasses if we so desired!! Took our orders, got them exactly right down to we were sharing a steak and brought an extra plate! Jeff, the general manager that evening was again filling in wherever needed - not just playing the role sitting in an office! We had a very nice side salad, and the steak was very tender! for a great price! When we left, the hostess was cleaning the windows on the doors! Like I said there’s a reason the parking lot is full!!!! Like happened this trip! We will be back next time and maybe twice!
It isn’t the chain. It is the original. The place is wonderful. I would go again in a heartbeat.

Excellent lunch stop. Our first time eating lunch at Outback. Good lunch menu and reasonably priced. The catfish basket had three nice big catfish pieces along with hushpupies and fries . Tasted great and left satisfied.

Our experience here was amazing. The food was delicious and very filling. Our waiter was great and friendly. Mike came by our table and welcomed us while introducing himself as the manager. Asked if we needed anything.

I’ve been to the Outback many times in the fifteen years I’ve lived here in Branson. Usually it’s great. Disappointed this week as it’s just frustrating to order an appetizer and not have it come to the table until after you’ve already been served your dinner. When the appetizer wasn’t served before our dinner, we canceled it. And then the waitress said she thought we wanted it with our dinner. Really? You thought I wanted oysters Rockefeller as a side to my lamb chops? We ordered it as the appetizer that it is. She said well it takes 20 minutes to make the oysters, ok, so why didn’t the kitchen wait to start the steaks? She walked away. Disappointed. She brought the oysters out as we were eating our dinner and my husband said he would eat them. The oysters were gross, mushy, we didn’t finish them. And they charged us for them. Bad customer service. It’s going to be awhile till we go back to the Outback.
One of the best filets I've ever had. We sat in the military section, and it was so amazing. Our waitress was amazing, the food was delicious, and we had a great experience!

The manager, Mike, made absolutely sure our family of 5 was taken care of. The onion blossom is large and spectacular, the steak is insanely good, and their kids menu is unmatched for the value. 5 stars across the board. Our server, Nick, was extremely helpful as well.

We were wanting a quiet and reasonably priced lunch. We order tge Aussie onion and both had catfish. I had tgelunch size. He had tge dinner size. Everything was wonderful except for the catfish. It was the worst catfish ever. The bottom fourth of each piece was fatty. It tasted like Mississippi mud river catfish. I was so disappointed 😞.
