Folks don’t seem to understand this is a theme park. Food is more expensive in a theme park no matter where you eat or go. The meat is smoked so it does have a pink appearance. Smokers are in the back, this is not refrigerated / frozen food shipped in. Slaw is awesome. That’s about the only side I’ve had here because I’m partial to a bowl of “Ed’s” taters (fried potatoes, onions, peppers, and bbq) with my brisket that I get. I had somewhat high hopes when I walked past here and saw the menu, but the food wasn't quite as good as I hoped, especially for the prices! Edible, yes, but the brisket was even more fatty than expected. There was also a surprisingly long line -- we had to wait almost 45 minutes to get to the front and order our food. Once we did, though, there was a nice large outdoor seating area behind the restaurant.
I got the 2 meat platter, brisket and pulled pork, baked beans, mac&cheese. Meat was great, the brisket did have a good bit of fat around it but just pulled it off. Pulled pork was excellent. None of it was dry. Baked beans were ok, just not as good as others. Don't care for m&c, my wife ate it. I do recommend this place. Give it a try.
