My experience in the restaurant was horrible, the place was dirty, the staff had a bad attitude. The burgers were made by people without gloves which I had previously seen them take cash. My food was ugly and dry. And thanks to that food and bad experience my daughter is in a psychological depression thanks for nothing crappy restaurant.

Cooking of the food with beef tallow provided a more flavorful taste, in my opinion. The atmosphere is part diner, part restaurant. Milkshake used ice cream instead of ice milk, so it has a thicker consistency.

It has been YEARS since we've dined at a Steak & Shake. Oh boy, it's not what we remembered. The food quality, from burgers to fries were so disappointing. Thin, almost cardboard like fries and super thin patties leave you wondering what the heck you ordered. We will definitely not return.
They did, however, have excellent service from entering the restaurant, ordering our food to paying. 👌

The sandwich was really fresh and good. I just wish they would go back to the original slice dill pickles. The ones they have now taste terrible! Please go back to the original ones.

Honestly I love that this company has switched to tallow instead of seed oils. And the garlic burger is one of the best things I’ve ever had. Their wait staff is amazing and treat you like you’re sitting down to fine dining. Just an old burger joint but what they do they do very well. Please never get rid of the garlic burger

The manager/owner has willingly allowed a child predator to work at this location after knowing he had been caught once. When he was caught again, he was confronted by a civilian and the owner/manager had the civilian arrested and trespassed from the restaurant because he spoke out about a CHILD PREDATOR working there around children and raising awareness to other patrons of the business.
I happened to be there and was fully disgusted by the actions of the owner/manager. I’m not from the area, we were in town visiting a friend that week for a wedding and I had never been to a Steak n Shake before. The predator was not sited or removed from the place while the guy telling everyone was! My husband and were so upset that I couldn’t eat.
I hard forgotten about this until today when a friend showed me a video from the incident taken in the parking lot involving the police. The video has the police reading rights to the civilian guy and accusing him of inciting an incident which was NOT what happened. Yea, the guy got loud, but there was no violence at all…so the owner straight up lied!
