Hey there! I just wanted to share a wonderful experience my kids and I had at the Todd Oliver & Friends show. Within the first ten minutes, we knew we had received our money's worth! The show was so fast-paced and engaging that my kids were hooked from the start. Really enjoyed the music. Haven't had a lot of exposure to bluegrass, so this was a great way to experience it. Would have to say Johnny Cash's "I've been everywhere" was our favorite.Only downside is I don't want to hear any performer's personal or political beliefs. As a parent of an LGBT daughter, it made me uncomfortable and seemed to allow others in the crowd to voice their opinions as well. Stick to the music and we would come back.
We saw the Petersens and Sanders Family Christmas (a musical comedy). The theater seats about two hundred, so the shows have a more intimate feeling than the 800 seat theaters. Excellent lighting and acoustics. Both shows were wonderful. The Petersens family bluegrass band is one of my favorite bands who put on great shows.
