I have visited this Irish pub only three times, each for my birthday. But I really liked it every time.

My third trip here was just this week, on my actual birthday, with my mom and stepfather. We shared an appetizer of curry and chips, which I really loved. And as for me, I ordered TWO appetizers for my meal: Irish Potato Farls and Scotch Eggs.

I truly enjoyed my birthday dinner here.

Went here for lunch. Irish cuisine is typically safe when it comes to spice right? Not this damn place, Shepherds Pie with cayenne pepper in it. Blew New Year's Eve with my wife, I was sick all evening. Our waiter was a good sort, he took the order off of our ticket. He was also well kept, the other waiter was very unkept. I wouldn't recommend going here until they get back to traditional ingredients, not very Irish.

The sign said “please seat yourself” rather than having a hostess. So, we did. After about 10 minutes and 4 different waiters walking past without stopping we got fed up. After another 5 minutes, we finally left and I doubt they even noticed. Terrible service

The fish and chips were very good. The shepherds pie was excellent. The waxy Irish eggrolls were the absolute bomb. Service was impeccable.

Me and my family thought we would get lunch here.. after placing our order., we were told our waitress had to leave and another girl would be helping us. So, she came over and asked for our order. We told her we already placed it with the other girl. So, after waiting for almost 30 minutes she came back and we asked when our order would be out, she said 1 order ahead. Ok... now it's been 45 minutes.. I got up and waived her down, while noticing other people still haven't got their food..she came over and I told her we were going to go ahead and leave.. she said ok and walked off while I was still talking... rude! After finding out they only had 1 cook was reason for the delay. Thay should've been told prior to seating us.. wouldn't recommend. We came for family trip amd was really disappointed in this place.

We chose this place because we’d been before at happy hour. After getting a drink before evening dinner, we waited nearly an hour and a half till waitress apologized and said they only had one person in the kitchen. Being 70+ and with disabilities, we decided to leave. The manager came over and said he was sorry about the food but we owed for the two drinks, though our money was already visible laying on the table. A party near us, who arrived right before us and had eaten and preparing to leave, said that the drinks should be complimentary.
If you’re young or part of a big group, perhaps you’ll be treated better than we were.

The food was EXCELLENT! The fries are soooo good! Perfectly crispy, yet inside so fluffy, and seasoned perfectly! I got the rueben and for being such a simple sandwich, they made it amazing! Our waitress was very kind and the service was fast. If I could give more stars I would! This has now become a staple for all future Branson visits.

This is my first and last time at Waxy O’Shea’s. It’s unfortunate the food is good here because it is grossly mismanaged. As someone with 10 years experience working/managing restaurants I feel awful for this serving/bar staff. 2pm on a Saturday during Thanksgiving weekend and there are 2 servers and a bartender. That’s poor management. Whoever created this schedule or sent people home early is to blame for 30 minute App time and 45 minute entree time. Also no host causing servers to loose track of who seated themselves where and loose their internal rotations of knowing what tables they need to be speaking to. Terrible management. I watched 4 parties walk out due to waiting and overheard 2 other tables complain about the state of the food they received. I’m sure that was reflected in those servers tips, which is a shame because the servers here were working their asses off and deserved better. Again the effects of poor management. Atop of this the restaurant was also out of many items on their menu telling me that either their manager once again failed this restaurant with food ordering and preparing it for the week. Everywhere I looked I saw so many ways this place is not being managed properly. If you work here you deserve better and if you own this place you deserve better managers. Todays experience can not be isolated as schedules are set typically 2 weeks in advance and food is ordered 1-2 weeks in advance. This is almost a months worth of lazy management combining into todays experience. This pattern will continue if not corrected.
