I had dinner at White River Fish House. I didn’t realize until afterward that the restaurant is owned by Bass Pro Shops, which has a large store across the parking lot at one end of the Branson Landing outdoor mall. As I walked through Branson Landing, White River Fish House looked like the best option. Many — if not most — of the other restaurants displayed menus with photos of their food. Generally speaking, if you need pictures to sell the dishes, the food probably isn’t great. And it raises the question of what kind of clientele requires visuals to decide what to order. If I’m being honest, the other restaurants were, at best, kitsch and, at worst, outright tourist traps. I chose to sit at the bar because the dining room was extremely busy. Service was outstanding — far better than expected. I’d say the overall standard is a step above Outback and a bit better than LongHorn. The wine-by-the-glass list included a La Crema chardonnay that was discounted during happy hour. My food was perfectly cooked and well presented. I ordered the crab cake appetizer and a Caesar salad for my main course. All things considered, my dinner at White River Fish House was very good to excellent. I have no complaints. I would return if I find myself in Branson again.

Very nice setting on the river adjacent to Bass Pro Shop near Branson Landing and a nice building with scenic views. However, the fish for fish and chips was way overcooked. The initial fries were cold and we sent them back. The new fries brought out were hot but overcooked. Fried shrimp was pretty good but not great.

Had birthday dinner 9/30; hubby ordered crayfish tail-- very overcooked. Ordered strawberry Lemonade for outrageous charge of $7.00. Otherwise, will give it another chance later on

We came in excited for the experience and specifically asked for a window table so the kids could enjoy the view. Instead, we were seated at a booth away from the windows. The host was dismissive and rude, and to make matters worse, we sat for over 10 minutes without anyone greeting us, not even a glass of water.

Great atmosphere service is great but servings are very small I think Jim Morrison can afford to spare some more food 16 dollars for gator bites and this is all you get

We decided to have a late lunch. I wanted some sort of fish entree. I opted for the catfish. Wife chose the strip and we ordered the fried pickles. The pickles were delicious. Wife's steak was very good and my fries were good. The catfish had no flavor and was very mushy. I was only able to eat the crispy edges of the fish. The server was friendly but only saw when she took our order. She didnt deliver the app or the entrees. Came back and refilled our drinks and to give us the check. Was disappointed and decided to order a pizza.

OMG! Our meal was terrible. Their corn bread and our calamari appetizr which were good. We ordered trout almondine for our entree. It was pink and looked like salmon ans we were told “it was a result of what they are fed”. It was overcooked and dry and didn’t taste like either trout or salmon. It came with broccoli and rice pilaf. Both were overcooked. The broccoli was mushy. The rice was tasteless and mushy as well. Not what one should expect in a pilaf. yech!

Waitress was unsympathetic and restaurant atmosphere was not asvexpefted.

Our group of 35 was traveling with Diamond Tours and one of our stops was the fish house. The atmosphere was amazing, the service was awesome the only downside is our food was either luke warm or on the cooler side. However everyone was still happy over all.

Our server Arianna was very nice and took good care of us, and the atmosphere was very nice well. However the cornbread was very bland. The crab cakes we got also had no flavor. Fish and chips were ok but the tater sauce wasn't good at all
