Well, let me tell y’all, this diner right here is somethin’ special. Walked in, and it felt like home—just the right amount of clatter, chatter, and the smell of the grill workin’ overtime. Ain’t no fancy frills, but that’s how it oughta be.
The burger? Juicy, stacked high, and cooked just right, with a bun that held its own ‘til the last bite. Service was quick, and the folks workin’ there treated me like family. If you’re lookin’ for good eatin’ and friendly faces, this place is where it’s at. I'll be back, no doubt!

Carl’s is an institution and if you love burgers and root beer then Carl’s is not to be missed. The burger I had was perfectly cooked and had crispy edges and juicy in the center. We arrived at 1:15pm and waited 20 min to sit down and worth the wait.

Decent burger. Loved the inhouse made Root Beer. Tamales with chili are very good. Service wise, my particular waitress was wonderful and friendly. There was another woman though, with colorful hair, who I found particularly abrasive and off-putting though. Just a tad gruff in approach..

They have an amazing cheeseburger and very friendly staff!
Super tiny spot that has been open forever, I think 100 yrs or so. Greasy spoon with a limited menu, everything is great and far from healthy. The burgers are fantastic and the prices on par with fast food and maybe even cheaper. Not many seats and prepare to be close to other patrons when ordering and/or eating. Little bit of a time travel feel when you enter but that's part of the experience.

They changed something with their burger, either the beef or bacon or they added something terrible but the burgers are nasty now. They taste like 3 day old garlic breath. I had to spit mine out today. I think the new leadership is catching up with this old gem. New employees are good at getting the Carl's vibe right but it's weird that the old staff is all gone and the burgers taste like crap now.

Fast food on route 66, an iconic place from the decor that I imagine is very close to the opening, the way the burgers are prepared and the service. The burger is delicious and the service is great, the fries could be a non-frozen standard, but they are ok. The place only accepts cash so be prepared.
