Portions are TINY!$17 for 3 tiny tacos that don’t even come with rice and beans is not worth it$18 for two enchiladas with rationed rice and beans

The service was great but the place was not busy at all. The medium sized margarita was huge! Chips and salsa were good. But I ordered the steak— definitely not good. It was over cooked, grisly, lots of fat and completely tasteless. I kept putting salt and pepper on it to give it some flavor. I would stick with the more traditional Mexican entrees if you go.

With excitement I saw the name Sal y Limón! Order a soup or chicken broth! To go. When I reviewed My surprise was shredded chicken! broccoli and broth! No vegetables and rice. Please be serious...

The vibe in this place is EVERYTHING!!!! Came to St Louis from Miami and found this place near our hotel. Carnitas were delicious, great crowd, and super solid tequila/mezcal menu. If we lived in the area, we’d be regulars. Love it.

After eating and staying at a nearby hotel the music was so loud that I couldn’t hear in the restaurant and couldn’t sleep inside the hotel because it was keeping me and my family wake. Waaaay Too loud. I wouldn’t go back simply because of this. I’m not at a concert.

Food was good but the service was slow and wasn't given any napkins with the chips. 2 employees sat there for a good 5 minutes talking then went in back without talking to me, and there were only 2 other patrons in the entire restaurant. Finally someone waited on me, no lemonade or lemons but food was good. If you're dining by yourself, I would go somewhere else. I will overtip for good service because I know it sucks waiting on 1 person, but this was not it.

So, took a family of 4 here for dinner. Chips and salsa were good. We got margaritas, they were fine. They all got burritos, said they were not very good. I got carnitas, and asked for no beans because they're gross. The server noticed the beans as they delivered the food, then took it back. The solution?... They picked up my entree (the carnitas), put it ON TOP OF THE F'n BEANS to hide them, added rice to the plate and redelivered my food. I thought I was going to lose it. Instead, I just decided to pick my food apart then explain to the world why you should never eat here. So yeah, if you like bland food and being shown no respect, this place is for you.

Came here after a show. We ordered drinks and food off the late night menu. We had to ask for straws when the drinks cam without them. We had to ask for napkins when tacos and chicken wings were delivered without them! The weekend DJ music was good, but LOUD. Don't come late on a weekend if you want to have a conversation.

Food was just ok but not really …. The avocado on our salads was turning brown obviously not fresh. We ordered chicken wing appetizers we never got them, guess she forgot. After getting our salads we were OK with her forgetting. Ice tea had No taste at all. She did her best serving us and she was the only one to serve… place was dead. Probably wont try again.

Space is your average “upscale” mexican. Service was borderline rude. Food is the worst though - very bland. Really not worth it.Kid-friendliness: Ok for kids

The premium margaritas are so much better than you get at a standard Mexican restaurant. I recommend the Black Barrel premium margarita. I also really enjoyed the fish tacos.

The staff is always warm and welcoming, even if the restaurant isn't full of people they have lively music playing. Good ambience. Standard good Mexican food and the drinks are huge. Can't go wrong here.
