OLD ST LOUIS CHOP SUEY

We traveled into town specifically to try St. Louis–style fried rice, and unfortunately, we left really disappointed. What we got was basically plain rice with a little bit of egg, and the chicken tasted old and stale. For what we paid, it felt incredibly underwhelming especially since we spent over $30 on the order.

The crab rangoons and egg roll were okay, but nothing special or memorable. Overall, it wasn’t worth the trip or the price, and we didn’t even get to try actual St. Louis–style fried rice like we were hoping. Definitely not the experience we expected.

This is my go to spot for rice, Saint Pauls, potstickers, and crab Rangoon. Service is always fast and food is ALWAYS delicious and fresh! I even took my friend who visited from Mississippi here and said it was the best Chinese food he’s had ever! When you call, the guy is pleasant. No rude run-ins. No throwing your change onto the counter. Consistency is everything. Location is perfect. Whenever you are in the mood for some good Chinamen, don’t hesitate!

You must try the curry shrimp!! When I say it hits different; it does! The fresh crunchy sautéed vegetables in a spicy curry sauce with nice size shrimps and steamed rice.. It delights my tastebuds..

3 stars because of the ridiculous prices. Egg does not come in the fried rice and if you want to add it, it's $3 per egg! Without the extra egg, my order for plain fried rice, 6 pieces of chicken, gravy and 1 order of crab rangoon was $30! The Vess soda was $2 additional. The rice also had a strange seasoning in it that wasn't pleasant. The worker was nice and so was the security guard. Unfortunately, I won't be back.

This is the best Chinese food I've had in a long time is good for the price I just love it I'm new to New Orleans from Memphis Tennessee this is my main place for takeout

They could use a friendlier face and person at the front counter than the man they have up there today and he’s been coughing since I came up there last month . It’s scary all the customers just stare at each other every time he coughs. Other than that the food is good but I don’t think I’ll be back until he’s no longer at the front counter .

I had house fried rice and 3 crab rangoon and it was very delicious my first time eating here and this is my 4th chinese restaurant that I’ve eaten at in the 2years I been in STL thank you to the cook you deserve a chef kiss 🧑‍🍳😘 I’ll be back very soon!!!

I just want to say the food was excellent the wait time was reasonable the wontons were hot a special St Paul sandwich was excellent a special fried rice with really really good keep up the good work guys. Hands down fest in North county.
