Several things stand out about our dinner at The Mad Crab. 1st of all the seafood was great! We had a BIG boiling bag with Crab legs clusters, Shrimp, Mussels, Clams, Beef sausage, eggs, potatoes, & corn. It was all very good but the shrimp, clams & mussels were especially good! We also tried the fried oysters. Very good. 2nd, Service was top notch. They brought bibs, gloves, claw crackers. We didn't even need to ask. Then when our selected boiling bag was ready they brought it to the table & carefully unbagged it into a huge bowl so it wasn't all over the table, but still in its buttery sauce! 3rd, lots of big screen TVs & we could watch the Chiefs game! I've been to another one of these places a couple of years ago but hadn't really wanted to go back. But I am already planning a return to this Mad Crab!
We had been craving soft shell crab, so we thought we'd try Mad Crab. No one else there, but it was 4 on Tuesday. First thing we noticed was All of the tables were dirty. We ordered mussels and they were really good! Soft shell Crab was overcooked and didn't have much flavor. I enjoyed my sweet potato fries the most. Maybe we didn't order the right things. Napkin holders, menus, and tables... Dirty. But had I used the restroom before I ate, I would have walked out. It was disgusting. Like worse than a back woods country gas station disgusting. No thank you, not again

My husband and I was looking forward to eating here...who knew it would turn out to be a huge disappointment. We ordered the crab boil with MILD (which I made sure to mention more than once) mild seasoning with crab legs, shrimp, and mussels with the corn and potato. It was unfit to eat. It was so over the top xxxxtra spicy!! There was no difference in flavor between any of the food.. Just Hot sauce flavor.. ? . We spent $125 and the only thing fit to eat were the oysters on the half shell and some kind of yummy cheese bread that we didn't order but was on our receipt. Those 2 items were good and the staff was friendly and cheerful. I ordered a glass of wine which came in a plastic cup with one inch of hot wine. This place was a big let down. Disappointing!

The food was just okay, service was great however what really turned me off was the fact I chose to eat by the window and the wall was disgusting! It had old food on it, and you can tell it's been a minute since the walls were clean. But the gentleman that was working the front was very nice and checked on me. Drinks ? were just okay as well.

This place's service can improve tremendously! The line goes out the door because they have you step up to the counter to order then you seat yourself. Only one person was bringing the food out to the table! The food seafood bag was delicious but the gumbo was too watery and needed way more rice.
