First time visiting and absolutely agree with the 5-star rating average!
We ordered a bunch of stuff (see pics) and loved almost all.
First to hit the table were the pumpkin sambosas. I've had a good number of sambosas and samosas in my time. These were among the best. Also interesting was the dusting of powdered sugar on what was otherwise a savory dish. It worked very well. This was my best bite of the night.
Next up: spring rolls. I was a fan but the others weren't.
Somewhere in there we decided to order a pot of their house special tea. It was really flavorful and the aroma turned heads at other tables. The price seemed a bit steep (no pun intended) but it was definitely worth the price. Strongly recommend trying the special tea.
I think the lamb kabobs were next. Minimum order of three and there were three of us so it made sense. At least until the wife declared she didn't want hers. I split them with the kid and we both really enjoyed the meat and the onions dusted with that red spice blend (not sumac) with a name I can't remember. Lamb was seasoned nicely and tender. Important to note is the portion is in line with the price. If you want to eat lamb for your meal, you'll want to order a bunch of the little skewers.
Laghman beef in brown sauce was next. Really tasty and full of great stuff. Hand-stretched noodles topped with a beef & mushroom mixture, matchstick carrots & cucumbers. Great flavor even for someone who picks mushrooms out of dishes, so not noticeable.
Final dish to hit the table was their beef yoghurt wrap. Bread resembled a pita and was filled with slices of beef, onions, tomatoes, lettuce and their yogurt sauce. Beef was tender and beautifully seasoned and the vegetables were fresh. Beef was really interesting! I kid you not, my first impression was Big Mac. That said, a significantly upgraded Big Mac!
Dessert was a pecan chocolate baklava. It was tasty and appeared to be house-made. One recommendation would be to let it sit for a while to temper. I suspect a fair amount of flavor was suppressed by serving it refrigerator cold.
Overall a really spectacular dinner. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu.

This is a STL hidden gem! This unassuming restaurant is easy to miss but you will be so glad you didn’t. Each dish is exquisite and packed with so much flavor. We tried so many dishes and each one was so good. I definitely recommend the lughman, both the dry stir fry and original. They hand roll the noodles for the dishes right there in front of you and they are so soft and tasty. We are already talking about going back to try more!

This was my first time trying Uyghur cuisine. We really enjoyed our flavor-rich meal. The yogurt wraps were a nice relief from the heat of the chicken dish, and the handpulled noodles were perfectly prepared. We look forward to returning, especially to try the tea and rice pudding. Thank you!

We went there to try Mediterranean food, but found they have buffet food from China with Uyghur Muslim culture. I’ll try one day.

I think the noodles here are some of the best in STL. The menu is very clear, the food came out quickly, and the restaurant looks new. Our server was kind and friendly, but we had to call for assistance several times even though we were the only table there. Lastly, the women’s restroom was in terrible condition — there was water all over the floor, and it looked very slippery for both my child and me. We ended up leaving the restaurant feeling quite disappointed.

I had the laghman and my wife had the dry stir fried laghman. They both were delicious. The laghman had more of a stew like consistency. Both came with the amazing hand made noodles.

Why online pickup order included gratuity? I ordered two noodles pick up and you charge me five dollars?
When I paid, I was told that it was automatically included, no matter what.
Uyghur food is amazing if done well but this was just ok compared to the real deal.

I stopped by Afandi Kitchen for lunch and ordered the lamb kababs with naan, plus two beef langman dishes. The food arrived fairly quickly and was overall quite good. However, I was disappointed that the naan appeared to be store-bought rather than freshly made. We also tried the mint floral tea, which was milder than I expected.
When it came time to leave, it took a bit longer than I’d like to get the check and pay. Still, the restaurant is clean and the food is enjoyable.

Definitely not worth the money for carry outs.
Spent $75 dollars. And portions were so small.
One time we ate at the restaurant my dish came out way before my family and same server had another same dish for different table. Seems like they split one dish between me and that table.
Do better. Only went there and order cause of halal option.

Delicious authentic Uyghur cuisine.
Great food. Terrible service. Greedy mandatory 20% tip on parties of 5 or more. But like I said, the food is quality and every plate is made from scratch.

Such a great experience, the service was quick and so helpful for my dad and I as we had never tried this cuisine. It was so wonderfully delicious, and the dining area was clean and well kept. Super interesting flavors and really tasty, we will be back!

If you love garlic, this is the place for you. My husband and I got various laghman dishes. My tripe was perfectly spicy and the noodles have such a great chewy but soft texture. The tea was light but flavorful. Lamb kebabs were delicious, a little bit of char and so tender. Will be making a return visit.
