“I stopped in today to pick up 6 bagels. While I was there waiting on my bagels, a young man walked in and the staff knew him, and greeted him. He abruptly ran out the door to catch the bus, and missed it. The staff was attentive, and sighed when he missed the bus. The young man came back in very upset, and your staff consoled him. He asked if he could get a ride to Maplewood, and I stated I could not, but I suggested an Uber. The young man stated that he only had $10, and no phone. Not familiar with Uber rides, I had asked your staff, and they explained that you have to order an Uber online, and use a credit card, or you can get an Uber gift card. I asked your staff where I could get one, and they said CVS or Walgreens. I stated that I would run over to CVS and get the gentleman an Uber gift card, but I would not be able to order the Uber since I was not familiar. One of your staff stated that she knew how, and she would order the Uber. I gave her the gift card, and your staff, and the man thanked me. Your staff was genuine, and explained to me that the man had been in a car accident with his wife, and he takes the bus to see her every day. She has significant injuries, that she will never recover from. I just wanted to express what a wonderful caring staff you have. Yes, I picked up the card, but they did all the work, and were genuinely concerned for the young man. Very nice ladies! I hope they are complimented.“
