El Maguey Mexican Restaurant

I don't know if this is the same family/company that operates the El Maguey in St. Peters, but it is certainly not as good. Dined in there a few nights ago and they only had one young kid working as a waiter. He was polite, but was having trouble dealing with several tables at once. The food was very tasteless and no where near the quality of their St. Charles county locations. I will not return here and cannot recommend.

This was my least favorite El Maguey, the food, service and atmosphere was barely ok. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, nor would I go again.

Just pickup large order from here and they did not send any chips and salsa. I called and they said we dont give that with to go orders any longer? Rediculous.

Popped in to place a carry-out order, was immediately greeted by a friendly staffer. Placed my order for a Chimichanga plate and it was ready in about 10 minutes. Delicious meal at a good price, definitely recommend!

Beware of surcharge.
This place do not mention about the surcharge. In general have seen the billing person verbally mention about surcharge when swiping the card. This place does not talk about it, they do not give the customer to review the charges and just goes to click ok to continue before the customer realize the charges, this was not acceptable.
Patrons be aware.

I called to order lunch and when I picked my order they charged more than what was listed on the website. Based off of the menu on the website I expected to pay $12 for my food but instead was charged $25 for my food. When I asked the employee about the discrepancy of the prices she denied that they have a website and said I was wrong for questioning her. Very frustrating.

I love Mexican food but this one is better than ever

Ate at a different Maguey last night best mexican I've had in a while!!!
Went to the Maguey tonight closer to my motel, walked in at 9:30 and they wouldn't seat me and told me they are closed (sign on door and website said open until 10pm).
Sad deal. Snapped a picture of the restraunt from my car before I drove away. They may want to change their hours. I was really looking forward to eating there again.

Not the best Mexican restaurant, but good enough if you crave for some south of the border taste. Something to beware: they're now adding a surcharge to your bill which was a surprise to me--that is a big no, no, for me. So adiós amigas. I won't be seeing you for a while.

They have Mr pibb! Hard to find that on tap anywhere anymore. And they're smothered cheese burrito was fantastic.

Decent food and atmosphere. Service was extrememly slow. One drink refill the entire time nobody checked on us. Proces are good though.
