Great place, our go to place for many years. Very friendly staff. My favorites are the Shrimp Oreganati and Veal Saltinbocca. Homemade Tiramisu is a must try.

Service was great, food was a total disappointment. 20+ dollar plates with canned mushrooms and uninspired flavors.Having just left an 80 dollar dinner for 2 here I felt I could have had a better experience anywhere else for half the price.

We came in to have dinner. We were not aware that we needed a reservation but I saw many tables available. The host was very rude and gave a table all the way in the back next to a garbage pale and exit area. I asked to be seated somewhere else and he said “NO!!” With an extremely harsh tone.Needless to say , we said “thank you” and left. On my way out he said “have a good day” with a dismissive and rude way.I will never set food in this place. It was obvious that they do not need our business but their tone and unprofessional attitude was unacceptable.1/9/24I want to respond to the response from the owners of Gianfabios Italian restaurant. He responded to my review, but the “review “ website is not allowing me to respond on what he said. The owner is being less than truthful on his response. I would like to clarify that when the host offer me a seat in the back, and I responded, “I guess we don’t have a choice”, it’s because I was already offended by his tone and demeanor towards is when he found out that we didn’t have a reservation. The host gave us a table at the very back of the restaurant next to a trash can, and where they placed their dirty dishes after they clean a table. I did not wished to sit there as I knew that I was not going to enjoy my meal while looking at dirty dishes. I then pointed to another table and again, with a very nasty tone, he responded with a harsh “NO!!” (Second time saying “NO!!!” With a negative tone)The problem is that his respond was short and with an attitude and extremely rude. This is when decided to leave the restaurant. He is also lying when he claims to have given us a third choice. That never happened. He had an attitude from the moment we walked in there, and he had absolutely no intentions of accommodating us because we didn’t have a reservation. When we walked out the door, the host did say “have a good day”, but this was done in a condescending and dismissive manner, with sarcasm and rudeness. .I am not aware what the front page of your website states, I was not aware that we need a reservation before we went there, and, I’m also not aware that you are family owned and operated for the past 36 years. But what does that have to do with any? As I see it, none of that is relevant to the rude behavior of the host that night. If we went there, without a reservation, the host could have been nicer and said that in a more professional way. That would have given us an opportunity to have a pleasant meal or walk away knowing that we need to make a reservation the next time we want to dine there. But that will not happen because your host was absolutely and completely rude, discourteous, and disrespectful. Nice Italian restaurants are everywhere with better service. I do not need to be subjected to such behavior.

We ate there 12/30. The food is delicious-the staff the rudest I've ever encountered.

Authentic old world Italian restaurant that is family owned and operated. Food and atmosphere is fantastic and look forward to next time I am able to visit.

First time trying their food. Greatly disappointed. Calzone undercooked and doughy. Pasta con broccoli had no flavor like they forgot the garlic and parm and looked closer to a decent side dish portion wise. For the price it was ridiculously undersized. Calamari was average at best. As an Italian myself, I had higher expectations.

The food was excellent! Our party of two ordered one entree from the menu and requested a non-menu entree that was prepared perfectly. The app offerings are well thought-out and range from 'standard' through 'gourmet'. Everything was prepared as requested and served on a timely basis. The dessert selection is rather limited, but the aperitifs will replace any dessert shortcomings very well. And if you are like me and enjoy coffee after dinner, they offer espresso and cappuccino. Entree prices are mostly in the $20 -$30 range as are most comparable restaurants in their geography. The service is top-shelf; our server was Shawn. He was friendly, accommodating, very knowledgeable of menu items, professional and willing to assist should diners want assistance. Shawn is an absolute "Pro"! The ambience is clean, open (tables not jammed against each other) and functional. It's great to not be forced to listen to another table's conversation. If I could offer one suggestion it would be to 'lower the brightness' in the dining room, it has a negative effect on the entire experience. We will become regular customers of Gianfabio's.

Food was excellent! The spinach salad had an excellent salad dressing, the spinach was fresh and tender, and the size was appropriate. I had the red snapper and it was delicious. It was well prepared, and with the side order of vegetables was an appropriate size, and an excellent meal. All the desserts were good and I especially liked the tiramisu. Our server, Todd, was friendly, knew the menu, and described the specials, very well, and was always timely with serving the food and checking up on us. Overall, the ambience is well appointed and pleasing to the eye. The music is at an appropriate level. However, Mr. Terzo may want to look into the condition of the carpeting. I highly recommend this restaurant, and would definitely go back there again.

I will put a lot of time into this review, as I would just like to say that after a recent visit, what is going on in that kitchen? Lack of FLAVOR mostly and presentation. Just look at the many photos of the food on the website. Simple garnish missing and sloppy placement, overfill, photos of dishes with cutlery on them, capers everywhere, etc... My 96 year old father had Linguine a la Vongole. What he received was a plate full of olive oil, linguine-NOT al dente, clam pieces, and a few tomatoes. No seafood base/broth or white wine to give it any depth. I had Cappelini Mediterranean, and I asked to go less on the spice. They eliminated the spice completely. So, needless to say, quite a disappointment. I did enjoy your house dressing. With his Tortellini soup, hot tea, my coffee, and gratuity, he said to me, what a waste of $81.00. We've been patrons for over 20 years and have had family events up to 25 in this establishment. So you can understand my frustration. Buy the way, our server did an outstanding job of taking care of our needs. Thank you!

Anniversary dinner was exceptional. We had a great time. Herbies has a unique dining experience. Love the open windows concept and the fire grill outside.
