Satchmo's Bar & Grill

We had my niece’s 25th birthday here and I was a fabulous party. We asked for Becky to serve us which she always does with exuberant smiles and attention. Matt, Satchmo’s owner, was here and mingled with us like any bar/restaurant should. As a chef, this tells me volumes of how he runs his establishment. I religiously order the pork green chili(which is phenomenal) and the fish and chips were to die for, exactly how I like it. This place is the quintessential neighborhood bar!

We haven’t eaten here in years and came from the airport , on the way home. Quick service and excellent food.

I love this place. The food is delicious. The staff is great you should try it and they also renovated the place from old Satchmos and it looks a perfect inside even feels like home so if you read the reviews, I recommend you coming to this place because the food‘s good staff is good place looks amazing

We recently got back to satchmo's after it reopened earlier this year in July. I had the Lone Star Burger with steak fries and both were really tasty. We also had the spinach artichoke dip and that was really good as well. They updated the dining and bar area and it's fresh and clean, though I miss the gold paint color which brightened it up. We will definitely be back.

The food is less than average bar food. The menu is very limited. The drinks are week. Very few patrons during dinner hours. If your looking for the quality food from the old Schmo's,this isn't that.

First time with new ownership. Ordered online so wanted to share my review. Our food was barely warm the patty melt and hamburger. No onions on my Patty melt my cheese had been melted long time ago. Just wasn’t hot or fresh to me. Sorry but had to share so you can do better next time. I was very disappointed and hoping to try again and see how goes it.

This was our second time back in two weeks! It's our new favorite local place to go. It's not your average neighborhood bar. It's one of those places where your head turns as plates walk past you. They take "bar" food to the next level. It's clear that they put a ton of effort into the quality and flavor of their menu. I got the turkey avocado wrap the first time and the turkey burger the second time. Both were chefs kiss excellent. Get the buffalo egg rolls for your appetizer, you won't regret it. Can't recommend enough!

This is an amazing restaurant ! New owners new menu! The food is outstanding … we had the cheeseburger and Dave’s patty melt and both were outstanding. The steak fries are incredible and then we had both the skillet cookie (unreal) and Matt’s signature death by chocolate (incredible ice cream dessert with Twix and Oreo topped with chocolate hardshell). Hannah was our server and she is precious and Matt (one of the owners) is so devoted to his craft (all items on menu are invented by him) and he is so fun! Bring your whole family and friends and he has lots of fun football events going on and fun happy hours! It’s a great place tucked away with a welcoming atmosphere and the food is outstanding ! Highly recommend ! ?

Love this place so much! The new management is amazing-- so nice and personable!! The food is so good and the dessert is absolutely insane. We tried both the skillet cookie and the death by chocolate and they were both unreal. Could not recommend more.

Doing it right. Been to the new Satchmo's a couple of times now. The only complaint I can give is the beer selection is a little limited but as long as they keep an IPA on tap I'll manage. Food is out of the park. The first time we went we didn't have much time so we only got apps. All of them were great. The rolls and pretzels were especially good. Next time we went I had the Monte Cristo sandwich. That's a hard sandwich to do right that's why you don't see them much. This one was very good. Nicely done, not greasy with a great crispy crust and good jam. My wife had several of their signature gin cocktails and was impressed. Will be back.

A friend told me about this place, so I decided to give it a whirl. It’s under new ownership and all new menu. And let me tell you…this place did not disappoint. As someone who is very familiar with the industry, I can sometimes be a little too critical. The food, the service, the atmosphere, my visit to this revamped neighborhood classic was fantastic! Looking forward to next time!

Amazing remodel and fabulous menu. Recommend the green chili but there’s a lot to try. I’ll be going back again soon.
