The Smokehouse sandwich was delicious, and the blackberry martini was fabulous!

We did a to go order. They fufilled the order correctly. This was our first time trying this place. We got beef ribs, beef brisket and baby back ribs and some sides. The meat was so good. Their BBQ is top notch. The slaw and baked beans were good. The corn ribs were very good.

This food is truly out of this world good. We both had ribs. Hubby had the beef and I had pork. Both were delicious. The rub they use is so so good. we also had baked beans creamed cabbage and mac & cheese. I highly recommend you find this hidden gem 💎

After seeing the review with Mr.Chimetime, I begged my husband to drive me almost 2 hours to this place, It was definitely a cool little spot. People were very friendly. But when it came to the food. Whew my feelings were hurt the brisket was flavorless and dry 😭 Nothing like what I saw in the review. Ribs were tender but i was not blown away by them, sides were the same as well. Maybe it was bad Timing but this was a big let down. Consistency is the key to a good restaurant. I will give them another chance, but I'm not in a rush to get there. I was wanting so much for this place to blow me away because I love food. And I was so excited to try them. 🥺

Google map said it was open , but when we got there it was closed.

This review is actually only for the catering. I have not stepped foot into an actual location. Being a business that is new to the area we wanted to try a local BBQ place. WE ARE HOOKED! They have the best BBQ in all of STL, in my opinion and the opinion of everyone here at work. They are very accommodating in all of our catering needs.
I also love that it is family owned and operated. You can really tell that they put love into the business AND the food!
The brisket is by far the favorite but everyone RAVES about the turkey as well. It is hard to find a BBQ places that does turkey right without getting it dry and tasteless.
We are huge fans of Stellar Hog and will continue to give them all of our BBQ business!

This is the best barbecue place I have tried. The beef brisket is the best in town. I got to know this restaurant through the AA dining program, and the bilt dining program. I initially tired smoked Turkey and Beef salami. They are very good. Beef Salami is not like a traditional salami we bought from the grocery store. They are not processed. They are freshly made. Their Beef brisket is the best ever. I just started getting some food from them weekly, or once every 2 or 3 days, unfortunately they are temporarily closed now. I am sincerely hoping that they will re open soon.

I ran across a very positive Facebook review, so I urged my mom to do carryout yesterday. Lack of good BBQ is this City's weakness, but Stellar fills in this void quite well! The ribs, pulled pork, roasted Brussels, and tater salad were spectacular. Absolutely delicious.

Well, my review is a one star simply because my family and I checked online, Google information showed that the Chesterfield location was open, along with the hours. Didn't have a reason to doubt it. We drove a little ways to get there, to arrive to a hand written note on the door saying they would open again next week, telling you to visit their other location. Which if you know STL, you know that South City is no where near Chesterfield. This was a big disappointment, as we had seen a review online this week from a traveling food critics declaring this BBQ the best in the STL area. Oh well! Update your Google information management.

I do t want to give a negative review but you should keep your google open close current. Drove 45 min to give it a try just to find a note on the door. Closed till next week

Stopped last night and ordered the pulled pork sandwich and mac-n-cheese. Huge sandwich with tons of meat. The pork was amazing. Loved the mac n cheese too. Don't miss this place. BBQ is exceptional.

Ive been to the St. Louis location and just visited the Chesterfield location for the first time on Saturday. At 6pm they were pretty much sold out of meats, but I was able to get some ribs and corned beef. I think everything is brought over daily from the St. Louis location, so I imagine it can be hard to estimate business daily. The corned beef was awesome and a nice changeup from the brisket (which was phenomenal at the St. Louis location). The ribs were also stellar but I was pretty full after the corned beef plate. Their plates are 1/2lb of meat which i think is more than the typical place around serves. I am from MA and have tried a lot of popular BBQ places in the area but Stellar Hog has been my favorite by far. I think they could use a spicy traditional BBQ on top of the sweet. The heat level from the bbq pit beans would be great as a sauce. But the spicy alabama sauce is great on the brisket and corned beef. Keep doing what you are doing and dont take shortcuts! nice smoke ring on the meats and the food is hot, not served straight out of the warmer it seems. Two thumbs up!
