Biggest tenderloin ive ever attempted. Very small town, Craig MO. Service was for some reason slow. Everybody there got their food before I did. Kinda felt like they wanted me to leave.to 45 minutes to get food after I ordered. But when tenderloin arrived it was well worth the wait

The pork tenderloin was so delicious and so huge it almost qualifies to have its own zip code. It almost completely covers the 15” tray it is delivered on. This tenderloin was reasonably thick with a light well seasoned breading. I can’t wait to go back and try breakfast or a burger. The table behind me ordered a burger. It was quite big too.

Excellent food and service. Large amount of food to last a few days. One pancake was served on a pizza pan it was so huge. Becca was our waitress and so helpful. Worth driving an hour and a half!

Cash or check only. NO CARDS! I had to leave. I don’t carry cash any more!
The food was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Even though the place was packed, everyone working there was friendly and nice.
I hate leaving bad reviews, let me start there. We loved the small town vibe however as soon as I walked in, it felt strange. We were almost immediately greeted & told to sit anywhere, though very few places were open. There's long tables & everyone sits somewhat together. Not sure what I think about that, mixed feelings. Much like a lunch table at school feeling. We were given drinks fairly quickly & got to order fairly soon after that. I ordered the chicken strips & my husband ordered a tenderloin (the main reason we came here). We were told it would be a bit because there were several others ahead of us which is understandable considering the size of the tenderloin (can only cook one at a time, I'm sure). Just wasn't expecting it to be just under an hour and a half. They first brought me my fries. Then my chicken a few minutes later & my husband's order another 5 minutes later. The chicken steps were okay, cooked well but nothing to write home about. Immediately my husband grabbed a handful of napkins & started dabbing away oil sitting on top of his tenderloin. It was everywhere. He cut a small piece to put on his bun & added some mustard & a few toppings. It LOOKED okay but when he began to eat it & I could tell right away something wasn't right. The breading was sliding off all around & it was soggy looking. Again, onion rings were alright but nothing spectacular. Personally, it did not look like his sandwich was cooked thoroughly. He attempted not to say much as he went to pay for our meals but they kept asking questions until he just laid it all out. They ended up not charging him which was nice (most places don't even try to make things right these days) & explained they had a new cook. The prices were fantastic, given the size of his sandwich & had it been prepared a bit better. We are willing to possibly give it another try if we were close by, although we may not drive there specifically just to eat as we live over an hour and a half away. We arrived around noon and the place was packed so I'd suggest trying to get there around 11 if possible.

I stopped here today at 1:30 to try their tenderloin. Logically, they were sold out, so I tried one of their burgers. It was enormous and one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. If you get the chance, stop by here and grab something to eat. They only take cash or check.

My wife ordered the grilled chicken salad. While the chicken had decent flavor and seasoning, the lettuce was clearly not fresh—several pieces were browned and unappetizing.
I had the buffalo chicken wrap. The portion was massive, which sounds great in theory, but it was too large for the tortilla, making it impossible to eat like a wrap. It was also drenched in buffalo sauce—so much that it was dripping onto the plate.
Our daughters ordered the fried chicken strip baskets, and after just one bite, they refused to eat the chicken and only picked at the fries. I gave the chicken a try myself and honestly couldn’t place the odd flavor—it reminded me of either something stale or even sanitizer. Either way, it wasn’t good.
The highlight of our visit was the friendly staff and the welcoming locals. It’s clear this is a place with heart, even if the food didn’t hit the mark for us.
We won’t likely return, but we appreciated the service.

Paula’s is one of our all time favorite restaurants! They serve mainly homestyle meals, and their prices that can’t be beat. The portions are often huge on items such as the hunters skillet (my husbands favorite!) omelettes, tenderloins, pizza etc. you’ll often find me there at least once a week!
