In an old converted gas station on Rt. 66, we found an inviting location to have a pint and a bite. The owner came to visit with us and we got some very tasty food. You can’t go wrong with a burger but the Brussels sprouts and the steak fries with tzatziki and feta were unexpected hits.
My husband and I went there for the first time while we were vacationing. We thought it sounded really neat. The restaurant was in a former Mobil Station from the 1920s and we loved the nostalgia of it. We each ordered a bowl of their chicken wild rice, soup, shared a grilled cheese, and ate the Brussel sprout appetizer they offered. My husband is a big brussels sprout fan and so I just wanted him to get that so he could try it and we ate it all, but I was not that crazy about...
We stayed in St James and found this restaurant on accident, and what a pleasant surprise!!! Amazing food and atmosphere, we really just wanted something fresh and were burnt out on fried and greasy food. This absolutely hit the spot! Probably one of the best gyros I have had in YEARS. We had the hummus plate as a starter and it was so very good, the cole slaw and everything was very fresh and I'm incredibly impressed. Bravo and WORTH IT!!!
