We were hopeful for a good meal since the restaurant was busy. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing. Don’t get a slinger. Not sure the hash browns were cooked at all. The food was barely warm. The coffee was weak. Find another place along 67. Skip this one.

Great environment food is always good. People are always nice. I’ve been going to this restaurant as long as I can remember we’ll always be one of my favorites. If you ain’t ever tried it give it a shot. Highly recommend.

We have been coming for years and always good food and everyone is so nice. We need more places like this. A genuine family atmosphere and food is very good.

Great place to stop on US 67 between Festus and Bonne Terre. Breakfast all day, too many dessert choices, and a friendly staff.

“Granny Franny’s: Where the food’s fast… eventually.”

Walked into Granny Franny’s and instantly realized two things: 1) this place is packed, and 2) apparently, everyone in town already knew it would be. It’s a “seat yourself” kind of deal — except there were no seats. So I stood there like a lost extra in a Cracker Barrel commercial until a table finally freed up.

No problem — I grabbed a napkin, wiped it down, and claimed that bench like it was a Walmart Black Friday deal.

The waitress was clearly in the trenches. Bless her heart — she was running around like a chicken with its apron on fire. My drink order disappeared into another dimension. Asked once… twice… three times. I was about to start drinking from the syrup bottle just to stay hydrated.

When the food did arrive, it was worth the wait. Problem was, it didn’t all arrive together. Two people at my table were already scraping plates clean while the rest of us were still waiting like contestants on “Survivor: Diner Edition.”

But here’s the thing — if a place is this packed, they’ve got to be doing something right. And whatever that “something” is, it’s probably deep-fried, covered in gravy, and absolutely delicious.

So yeah, service was a bit chaotic, but the food hit the spot.
If the kitchen and servers ever get on the same timeline, Granny Franny’s would be a solid 5-star stop.

Until then, I’m calling it 3 stars — but with 5-star flavor and 2-star speed.

One of the few Mom and Pop restaurants left. Good food, service and atmosphere. They have a delicious variety of pies and cakes, displayed at the checkout. Its hard to pass up.
