Back in October 2024, a truck sputtered to a stop on our busy St. Charles County street—just off the rural highway that never quiets. We noticed the driver, waved him into our driveway, and my husband gave him a hand with the problem. In gratitude, the driver handed us a bottle of 2020 Crimson Cabernet from LaChance Vineyards.
We opened his wine this weekend (11/2/2025) for our 20th anniversary weekend, toasting the day and the end of a grueling home renovation that began in June 2024. The Crimson Cabernet exploded with bold red cherry and blackberry, earthy spice, – gorgeous legs, vibrant aroma, and a rich, lingering finish. It paired perfectly with the beef tenderloin for our celebratory dinner
We’ve toured plenty of new local wineries—too many flat, forgettable pours. But this wine reminded us what Missouri wine *can* be. We’re already planning a trip to LaChance Vineyards to try out the rest of their wine.

Love LaChance! Would give 5 stars BUT… I booked months in advance for a surprise bday party. They do not have good communication. Emails went without a response, ever, none, nada. Called three times, twice never got a return call. You must get permission for everything, but how can you do that with NO communication! Their loss on at least one case of wine. Also we were in the Bluestone Pavillon, which is great! Until the sun goes down and the whole pavilion is sunny and unbearable if it is warm. There should be shades on that side for early evening sun. Especially when it is rented from 5-8. Note to employees working with the public, a smile goes a long way! Blank, non expressive faces are not welcoming to anyone.

Lovely venue. Nice lunch with my friends. Special was hot roast beef on toast, potatoes and gravy, fresh green beans. All very tasty. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Great place to visit on a girls trip.

Delicious food with large servings. The server was friendly but could have been more attentive. The band "Wings of Eagles" was fabulous.
Very disappointing dinner experience.They were out of most everything, & it was only 6:00 on a Sat. nt.! The sangria was 3/4 ice & tasted like zero alcohol in it whatsoever. I knew from eating here before that it would be pricy. I don’t mind paying for a good meal but this wasn’t it & we felt totally ripped off! They really need a better menu & to stock up on food items. I heard our waiter telling the next table that whatever they ordered, they were out of also. Do better LaChance!!!

Like going to this place. Sunday (Father’s Day) was a little busy and apparently short staffed in kitchen. Outside ordering wouldn’t let me order something, but my son was able to order it inside. The girls on the inside made it possible (thank goodness). The outside guy, wasn’t friendly at all. Everyone else was very nice. We will be back.

We are visiting the area and wanted to try a winery. This place was beautiful! We found wines that we really enjoyed with the tasting and the food was very good.
