This was my first time at J. Gilbert's and it wont be my last. The food, and the service was excellent.
We make reservations here for special occasions and are never disappointed. Great service and excellent steaks. Always a pleasure to dine here.
Food was delicious as usual. Service was excellent. Sorry some of the choices on the pre fixe meal were changed
Purchase to gift card through J Gilbert's website over a month ago. Have not received it yet. It's been a month. I've called J Gilbert's on several occasions and they just keep directing me to a 1833 number that gets me nowhere but on hold for 20 minutes at a time. When I call the restaurant back they can't help me at all it's not their problem. Although I say it's their website they don't care. And at this point I guess I'm just out of my money. Terrible customer service. And as far as I'm concerned I was robbed by J Gilbert's

This used to be the steakhouse to go to we have been going here for 5 years and it used to be genuinely some of the best food I ever had. We had attended here on special occasions for birthdays and graduation. The food quality has sadly gone down since then, the prix fix menu used to be a great deal, but they made it a totally rip off, the menu is constantly changing and portions getting smaller and smaller. The service used to be top but now they are trying to rush you asking us how many times we are done eating twice,we were denied free desert even though this has been always given for a birthday before for us. The other servers were great but the bigger woman and old big guy are very rude and snarky. The food we had was mediocre at best and I could have eaten at home for much better taste, steaks were overcooked and dont match portions sizes on the menu. For how much you are spending the workers should act like they atleast care for you and try. They are not worth for how much you pay food quality and service.

We took our family of 7 out to celebrate my mother's 76th birthday. They seated us at a fun table in the bar, we love the action in there more than in the dining room. Service was great, we had wine, cocktails and mocktails. The small seafood tower was bigger than I remembered, and everything was fresh. The pretzel onion rings are a family favorite and didn't disappoint. We had steaks and lamb chops, they were very accommodating when my mom didn't want the sauce that comes on the lamb chops and let her change her sides. The baked potatoes and mac and cheese were everyone's favorite although I really enjoyed the mushroom risotto. This is one of our favorite places and we will be back soon!
The waiter kept trying to take my plate away multiple times before I was even finished eating! Other than that it was amazing.

I absolutely love this restaurant. I've never had a bad experience. The waiter was so attentive and so helpful. The food was so good. I just don't have anything bad to say. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it.
Absolutely loved the filet and shrimp!

Me and my coworker were looking for a semi-fancy restaurant with good food and good vibes. I saw the menu and thought it was perfect since it was right outside the mall, which we happened to be at, very convenient . we tried the watermelon mocktail, which was very refreshing. I got the Dean’s Shrimp which was amazing and even better with some lemon. Also got a sirloin and it was delicious and tender. We also got the roasted bacon, which is Nueske’s bacon, a MUST TRY! dishes. The star of the show was 10000% the truffle oil mushrooms! The best mushroom and side dish I think I have ever had (of course if you like mushrooms) The prices are those of a chain restaurant with a much nicer quality. I spent under $200 for the both of us, two drinks, an appetizer, and a 25%+ tip. Our server was very kind, wish there was a little more conversation, but I totally get not wanting to chat it up with two younger girls. All of the staff were kind and welcoming. The atmosphere was perfect: dim lights, not too loud but not too quiet where everyone is going to hear your conversation, great seating, nice bar vibes, even walls in between the bar and main dining area.

well we were j gilbert fans. this is the third time we were not happy with our meals. first,we had 2 tables at 450.00 per table. our ribeye was like a strip steak, the au gratin potatoes are horrible. not done and new recipe dont like. drinks were good. salmon fillets small. last time we are going
It had amazing food & service, we went on our anniversary, but I give 4 stars because I don’t appreciate them adding an extra $10 to their tip. The amount we paid was not the amount taken out of our bank account it was $10 more.

We have dined here many times and eat here about once a month. This evening we had a $25 coupon to lure us into making a reservation. Katie was our server who gave us her attentive care. We enjoy the options on their prix-fixe menu. Nice Chianti available for their half-off Sunday special on bottles of wine. Overall nice evening and enjoyable meal.
