We went for our first time on Valentine’s Day. I know now why they had openings for reservations. Holy expensive! My goodness! We have been to several other area steak and seafood places in the area and never paid as much as we did here! And had better food… they steak was decent but not much seasoning. The catch of the day was the best of all but again not much seasoning. The oyster Rockefeller had so much spinach in them that’s all you could taste even. The twice baked potato was tiny and only half a potato and wasn’t cooked all the way through. The beer was bottled which is fine but served with a glass that we had to pour the beer into ourselves which was weird for this “class” of restaurant. And the glass wasn’t even chilled. I asked if I could try a wine, typically I’m either told yes and given a sip to try or no, either is fine I just am not a huge drinker and don’t want to pay for a whole glass or bottle if I hate it. Well instead I was brought an entire glass and after one sip let them know I didn’t like it and asked to switch for something else. Got charged for both which was annoying. The second drink was one of their special martinis with caramel, it had the potential to be very good because I loved the initial taste but only alcohol! It burned the whole way down! The menu was limited and the prices were up $2-5/item just for Valentine’s Day… if you want customers to return you can limit the menu knowing it’ll be a busier day that’s fine but no need to hike up prices and screw people just for trying to enjoy a night out. Overall just a blah experience in our opinion.
Warning Warning warning! Worst Birthday experience ever. My husband made a reservation for 8. When we arrived there was no one to sit us so we sat ourselves. A waitress came to the table, didn't speak and poured a glass of water and said we have 10 minutes to order because the kitchen was closing. A GUY came to the table,We hurried and placed the order. When the food arrived, it was very bland from the shrimp cocktail to the entree. I ordered a baked potatoe and salmon, the salmon was bland and dry and the potatoe was just that. There was no butter, sourcream or anything on it. My husband ordered a medium steak, it was extremely salty. Neither of us finished our meal. We took it home to our dogs. After we got the bill, the server brought a complimentary cupcake for my birthday. For the prices they charge, they need to hire a better cook because the food was so bad I had to chew gum to get some flavor in my mouth. If you love bland food, check them out. Please don't make late reservations because your experience will be the same.

Went for New Years Eve and had a lackluster experience. They ran out of prime rib which is what we were going for, thought not a huge deal as it was about 7:45 by the time we got seated for our 7:15 reservation and it was busy. Prices were jacked up for the night from their normal menu, but that’s acceptable for NYE. My brother and I ordered medium rare ribeyes, they were both medium well at best, mine was charred to oblivion. Our wives ordered medium rare filets and lobster. My wife’s was good until she got to the cold rare middle.
I drank wine luckily because my brother ordered a manhattan and it came out looking like a jack and coke. Then he got the Angel’s Kiss and I think it was the same drink? We ordered fragile babies for dessert drinks and mine was littered with coffee grounds, nearly impossible to drink. 20% gratuity for all parties, our total was $620.
Should’ve just gone to Tuckers.

i have never been here.
The crab cakes were a nice presentation and good size but too short on crab meat! Too much filler! The ribeye was a great steak with great flavor! I gave the whole dining experience a C. There was a person setting at the bar by our table and listening to everything we said, I think it was the owner. She should make crab cakes with crab meat in them and worry about the food for the price and not listening in to every word the people are saying. It comes across offensive and intrusive! The waitress was awesome hence a good top for her! She was delightful with the best service! We might try again but probably NOT!

My review is mixed….on one hand the steak was absolutely the best I’ve ever had. But $50 for a steak and a baked potato is kinda high. I upgraded to a premium side, Ann potato and they were really good but again..to high for 6 or 7 thin slices of a small potato. We got the appetizer of fried cheese, sagnaki, and the tempura shrimp. The cheese wasn’t good, too much lemon on there. And the shrimp, although delicious, was only 3 shrimp for $12. My wife got the steak n lobster and I gotta say the lobster was nice sized and delicious as was the steak. She ordered sautéed mushrooms for a steak top but they forgot to send them out, we didn’t even notice it till we were in the car. That was $4 down the drain. Overall I’ll give this place 3.5 stars out of 5. Delicious food for the most part but very expensive for the portion they offer.
Went to Surf and Sirloin for my wife's birthday. I had a reservation indicating the occasion. No acknowledgement was ever received, but that's ok, not a big deal. We were seated quickly as only a few tables were occupied. We ordered some wine and when was delivered our order taken. The wrong entree was brought to my wife and my steak was the smaller 6 oz, I had ordered 9 oz. I didn't say anything but we did get my wife's order corrected. The waitress apologized and brought a dessert, though while my wife was still eating. Also, we had baked potatoes that came out with no butter offered, we asked and received. One potatoe has a huge spot we cut around. Steaks were good, but we're not likely to be back.

This has been one of my all time favorite restaurants for the last 25 years. I highly recommend booking them for a get together or a dinner out to celebrate a special occasion.

We had a great meal as usual yesterday evening. We were pleased to find out it was also the 30th anniversary of Surf & Sirloin. Congratulations to Larry, Stavro, Hamm and the rest of the Karafiannis Family and Suffer & Sirloin staff.
The food was just okay. Had the filet and it was good the Lobster was tough and chewy over cooked I think. The clam chowder was excellent as was the vegetable soup. The rest of the food was average at best.
Excellent food and service but a little pricey. The cost of the cocktail's was also pricey
A Most Delightful Repast at Kar’is Surf & Sirloin
On the eve of our visit to Kar’is Surf & Sirloin, we found ourselves enveloped in an ambiance of unparalleled grace, where the very essence of refined dining is celebrated. Our evening commenced with the warmest of welcomes from the esteemed manager, Huy, whose hospitality was both exemplary and gracious, a true testament to the noble art of service.
As to the fare, we were most fortunate to partake in a feast that was as pleasing to the palate as it was to the eye. The Filet, tender and sumptuous, was paired most exquisitely with lobster of the finest calibre, each morsel a symphony of delicate flavors. The Greek potatoes, prepared with a precision that bordered on the divine, served as a worthy companion to this regal dish.
Likewise, the rack of lamb, seasoned to perfection, was a veritable triumph. Its succulence was matched only by the accompanying Greek potatoes, which, in their golden splendor, provided a textural contrast that was nothing short of sublime.
One must not overlook the Greek salad, whose freshness was accentuated by a dressing of such homemade brilliance that it could only have been crafted by hands most skilled in the culinary arts.
In sum, our evening at Kar’is Surf & Sirloin was a resplendent affair, elevated by both the impeccable cuisine and the unparalleled attentiveness of Manager Huy. It is with great pleasure that we extend our highest commendation to this establishment, and we eagerly anticipate our return to once again indulge in its culinary treasures.

We arrived a little early for our 7pm reservation but were seated immediately. Our server was Cori, who was both friendly and attentive. Our cocktails were heavenly. Our appetizers, the Saganaki and the Maryland Crab Cake were tasty. Our entrees, the NY Strip and the Filet/Lobster Tail, were prepared perfectly, and the crème brûlée dessert didn't disappoint. Our evening was relaxed, we weren't rushed because of overbooked reservations, and overall, our experience was outstanding. 🤌🏼. 👍🏼👍🏼 Highly recommended.
