Home cooked meal, good quality, fast, excellent service and great prices. We had a meatball sandwich with chips, hot sliced beef w/mashed potatoes & gravy and a side of applesauce and 1 iced tea...cost was less (under $15) than if we ate at McDs!
They no longer allow smoking in the diner! So don't let prior reviews deter you. Their food is good and inexpensive, a rare combo today. The chicken and dumplings are great and usually are the Tuesday lunch special. I'm a weird one who loves liver and onions, and it's rare to find it done well. While not as good as my momma used to make, it was good. Their meatloaf is good too. There is parking in front and in back and to side of the restaurant. It is always crowded...
Overall great experience staff was wonderful and food was really good. I had the chicken fried steak and it was cooked perfectly just like I would get at home. I definitely recommend this place if you want to get a good meal for a reasonable price.
