“I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for years now after a friend recommended it to me but we hadn’t had the opportunity to stop by on our travels from STL to Springfield until recently, I can’t believe I waited so long!!! This place is a gem! A must-visit restaurant if you are ever in the area! The food was delicious, the service was wonderful, very warm and welcoming and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Definitely recommend the egg drop soup, it was one of the tastiest versions of this soup I have ever eaten! Everything looked delicious and I can’t wait to visit again soon for another delicious meal the next time we are in the area! Highly recommend!!!”

“I go here when I take myself on a date. The food is EXCEPTIONAL, the service is EXCELLENT, and the atmosphere is a whole vibe! Can’t wait to go back! Oh! I did bring my mom here once to treat her, she has alpha-gal so her food cannot be cooked on the same grill as red meat, so they kindly cooked all her food separately so she wouldn’t have an allergic reaction. Highly recommend!!!”

We aren’t really the bar scene kind of people, but when I say it was the most inviting,relaxed and accepting environment I ain’t lying! Stephanie is mixing them drinks right, Samantha got the food on point.. the owners 🤩 hands down, love them! Stop by and enjoy the S&M burger and the shooter fries! And the fried chicken salad! And the ranch😍. And to top it alllll off…. they make the Washington Apple perfect! 👌 10/10 recommend!”

“If it wasn’t for the “separate” smoking section - which was barely keeping any smoke out of the non smoking section - this would be 5 stars. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and sweet. Very attentive. They serve breakfast all day (I’m always up for that!). Our food came out at a reasonable time, was hot and fresh; everything tasted great. I just had a hard time ignoring the smoke smell.”

If you get the burrito just remember it's going to be FAT 😆 Buffalo Mac taco on Monday special is also a favorite of mine. “I came here because friends had given me rave reviews about The Hub…and they were absolutely right! The food is not only positively delish, but this family serves it with so much pride and warmth! The young man who served me made sure I got the NEW batch of German potato salad at the end of the lunch shift, and personally vouched for it. The schnitzel was tender and flavorful, the mushroom gravy making the perfect accompaniment. Their daily lunch specials are tantalizing and unlike other establishments, there is no skimping on portion or ingredients. This was my first visit here but I intend to bring friends soon to enjoy this German treat!”

We just had an absolutely outstanding meal at GW Pizza, and the experience was top-tier from start to finish.
We ordered a King Pepperoni Pizza and a Chicken Bacon Ranch Calzone, and both were perfection. The pepperoni pizza was loaded with flavor and had a fantastic crust, and the calzone was rich, savory, and cooked just right—definitely a winning combination!
But what truly elevated our visit was the superb customer service. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They went above and beyond when they found out our grandson had just graduated from boot camp—they not only congratulated him but also gave him a complimentary piece of pie! This kind gesture made the day even more special.
While we aren't local and won't be able to come back soon, we highly recommend GW Pizza to everyone! Whether you are a resident or just visiting the area/base, this spot is worth the trip for their delicious food and their genuinely caring staff.”
