I ordered the brisket and ribs combo with potato salad and corn on the cob. Nothing was really hot - just sort of lukewarm. The potato salad was ok and the corn was good. The Texas toast was good. But the meat was not as good as it was the last time I was here, which was several years ago. The smoke taste seemed artificially strong - maybe Liquid Smoke? And the sauces in the bottles at the table were not good - they tasted old.
Ordered 3 baked potatoes with meals. Got home, no baked potatoes, they put fried orka on our places. Lady wasn't to friendly when I called and told them what they did. She said I will check into and hung up. 5 minutes later she called me back said you can bring the places back and we will put baked potatoes on them, but our ticket shows you ordered 3 rib places with bake beans & orka. I said no,I ordered pork steak places with baked beans, baked potatoes. Everything...
Excellent! The ribs were amazing, the brisket as well, but Just WOW to the Pork Steak. Massive, delightful, so tender. And the service is wonderful. The kindest staff. A must try. You won't regret it. Oh and every side we tried was great, okra, corn, beans.
