Our experience was absolutely amazing! The food was cooked to perfection, service was great and the view was stunning. What a hidden gem right here in Pulaski County. We will definitely be back.

Very disappointed, I went out yesterday with my girlfriend for a nice date. Great view, and carrots other than that very bad service. I hate that I am even writing this but never had this happen.I asked for a medium rare ribeye steak. When I got the steak it was clearly medium well close to well done, zero pink. I asked the server that steak was not medium rare. The cook then came out very irritated saying they would not cook another steak with a raw steak to justify her argument. I will never go back to this over priced place that has less than mediocre cook. As you see below on the comment how they take customer service. Very disappointed on the lack of accountability.I would rather have a rare steak besides chewing all day on a well done steak. My girlfriend had the rare steak and we were fine. My steak was well done.

Our first time dining here. It is the best restaurant steak we have ever had. I half jokingly pulled out my butter knife to cut the steak. It cut the steak like a hot knife through butter! Without a doubt they have the BEST service of any restaurant in Pulaski County - I've lived here almost 40 years.

Went here for a Sunday brunch. Dont waste your $! Buffet was small, by the time my mom & I got there, there was nothing left. They didnt bring out any more food. We got the left over. Took forever to get refills. I wanted to do something nice for my mother, have a nice brunch but this was not up to par.
* we had a reservation so instead of making excuses you should do right by your customers & not pawn it on everything else.
* we even came in 30 minutes early
* to pay this much & tell me that we needed a reservation which we already had is bull. Not really getting to eat is bull

Not coming back

The owner (female) us absolutely horrible. My wife an two daughters went to dinner there today. My daughter ordered a medium rare NY strip and it was over cooked. Sent it back with all the sides. It came back as a ribeye with no sides and the center was cold. Was told by the owner they did that because the last one was sent back. Sent that steak back and was threatened by the owner twice by charging at the table. Wife asked for the bill and the steak that was sent back. The owner called the cops. My wife made sure the waitress knew it wasn't her fault, left a $40 tip. This place is TRASH.

** if don't believe me read the other responses to reviews. The chic is unhinged. You've been warned.**

Oh hell yes this place was exactly what we needed. Food on point. Drinks delicious. Miranda, our wonderful server, was attentive and friendly. The view was amazing.

Vegetarian options: As a vegetarian I had the pretzels, salad, fries, and apple pie (of course ?).

We have returned for our second time and it was better than the first which we thought couldn’t be topped. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Well worth the money. Pictures in the comments.

If I could give Rugars 10 stars, I would! I cannot express how wonderful the restaraunt and staff are! The staff were incredibly accomodating and friendly, the steak was one of the best I've ever had and the view overlooking the valley was absolutely breathtaking.

I highly recommend Rugars to anyone in the area and to anyone passing through!

Appetizers were ok. Burgers were too salty to eat. They didn't have part of the drinks that were listed on their specials menu for the night. There were 7 of us there as we were there for my youngest daughter's 21st birthday. Several of us ordered a drink off the specials menu that they, apparently, didn't have the ingredients for. When the waitress came back to let us know that they couldn't make those drinks and to get new drinks orders, she took everyone's new order except mine. My kids had to stop her as she walked away so she would come back and get my drink order. Later, when she refilled everyone's water, she completely skipped mine, which was empty, and I had to get her attention as she walked away and ask her for a refill. On the appetizers.... The poppers were kind of bland and boring. The stuffed garlic cheese bread was pretty good in my opinion, but it's not exactly what you expect from the description. My husband hated it and said it tastes like stuffing. He was right to an extent. The first couple bites did taste like stuffing you would have at Thanksgiving, but just keep eating. After a couple bites, ALL the flavors come through and you start tasting the individual flavors. My only problem with it was that it only had the barest hint of garlic. Not what you would expect from something called Stuffed garlic cheese bread. It could definitely use more garlic, but I really liked it. The pretzels were very good as well as the potato skins. One person had a steak and said it was really good. The view....now that's something to talk about. While we weren't seated close to the windows, understandably, because we were a big table, we could still see part of the view and it was gorgeous. Small parties can sit right next to the windows and I'm betting the view is spectacular from there, where you can see down into the valley right next to you.The pricing was way better than we expected. We figured it would run around $500 for 7 adults with the tip. After all, we did get 4 appetizers for the table, everyone got one alcoholic drink, two men got two beers each, and all four younger people also got "birthday shooters" in addition to their original alcoholic beverages. Plus we all ordered a meal. We spent around $380 or so even with leaving a good tip for the waitress. With the exception of one person, who got a sirloin, no one got the steaks.I was really excited to go here after I was told about this place, and while there were some really nice aspects, overall I was disappointed and probably won't go back.

The view from the table was very nice. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, we all had mixed reviews on the food. The pretzel appetizer was good, as were the jalapeno poppers. The poppers were very unique but had good flavor. The potato skins were also pretty good. The garlic bread was not. It tasted like turkey stuffing and had a very mushy texture. Most of it got thrown away. The steaks were decent and the fries were very tasty. Two members of the table got burgers and regretted them. They had so much season salt in them. They were not edible. Burgers are my favorite food and I had never thrown away a burger until that evening. 2/3 of my burger went to the trash as did half of the other. The bun was good. I ordered extra cheese on it but they left it cooking with the cheese on it for too long. There was almost no cheese left on it, and it was not enough to even taste, for salvage and eat separately from the inedible meat. The desserts were okay. The bar was poorly stocked and several of the food menu items were not available. Repeatedly through the evening we attempted to order things and were told that they were out of them. After spending almost $400, I have to say we would not go back.

Parking: Gravel lot with a nice view and plenty of spaces for the size of the establishment.
