This is the place to go if you want a taste and feel for the nostalgic past that includes the taste of good fried catfish & the fixens to match. Decent portions of good down home Ozark cookin, along with the basic dining experience. The waitresses are nice & hard working too. Easy to find off of Highway 54, located in a prestine area where catfish are actually raised. Although the restaurant obtains it's catfish elsewhere, it is still quality catfish. It's easy to want the taste of this catfish just knowing it will be a tasty down home nothing fancy experience.
Kid-friendliness: They offer kid friendly items in the menu, as well as have sturdy wooden high chairs. They have a juke box for music entertainment that kids can put money in & pick songs too.

Came here for happy hour. Wonderful service- everyone is very friendly. Locals and vacationers filled the house. Food is great as are the drinks mixed at the bar- try the Keylime Drink, it's amazing.

My family & I were hungry for shrimp & was recommended this place. We're glad we listened to this great advice. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the hushpuppies were the best we have had ever. The staff members were extremely friendly & fast. This is a hidden gem & we will be back for sure!!!

We have been hearing rave reviews about Southern Comfort and finally got the chance to try them out today. Mom and I had the catfish bites, fried corn and hushpuppies. Husband had the catfish dinner. The catfish was the BEST we ever had!! everything else was a major bonus. service was phenomenal! We have already made plans to go back for Father's Day dinner next weekend. Thank you for going above and beyond!

Went with my friend and her little one she was a little intimidated from the sign pub and grub but as I walked in I was greeted by the owner and she assured me she’d love a little one to come on in, I’ve been a couple times but wanted to show my friend what the food and atmosphere was like, we really enjoyed our time haven’t went out for dinner in months and let me just say even though I’m not a fan of mozzarella sticks there Mac and cheese bites are so amazing, our server Amber went out of her way time and time again we will have to make this a normal outing, thank you from the owner and Amber we appreciate all you do!
Restaurant wasn't open as posted on website. Our drinks were made incorrectly and short on liquor. My fried shrimp was cold by the time it was served.

My wife and I went to pug and grub for the catfish dinner as we love catfish. We were told it was the best in the area. Let me tell you it is not the best anywhere the fish had a terrible taste like old mud cat that was not cleaned right the rest of the meal and the service was great could not have been better. We may try them again for ANYTHING BUT THE CATFISH.

A hidden gem just a few miles away from busy Bagnell Dam strip! Cute decor, friendly staff, good food. The large out door pavilion is great for warm summer evenings as you listen to the band while sipping a cocktail. Bring your RV or tent and stick around awhile...the cano ground has its own in ground pool, a small store and some of the Lakes best fishing.
