Thankfully, we live less than a mile from the best Authentic Mexican Food Restaurant in Missouri! Over the years we have seen Cedar Crossing change hands and change restaurant/bar themes. Not to critisize any previous owners, but Manual's is the best this place could ever hope for. We love going into Manuels. The people are very friendly. They work extremely hard to serve everyone as fast as possible. The food is very authentic. I have lived in San Antonio and have been to Mexico. This food is the best, authentic Mexican food I have ever eaten. It's always hot, VERY flavorful and served in great portions. I only have one complaint about Manuel's...THEY ARE ALWAYS TOO BUSY!!! It's kinda like Will Rogers said, "No one goes there anymore, they're too busy." We love it. We love going during off busy hours. There's simply nothing bad you can say about Manuel's.

My husband and I ate here Sunday 5-8-2025, yesterday afternoon, at 2:30p. The Cantina was well-lit , lively with music, Sports on tv at the bar, and lots of customers! My non gluten-free husband chose the 3 Shrimp Tacos with lettuce and cheese, beans and rice on the side. He truly enjoyed it! The portions are very generous. I have Celiac Disease, an Autoimmune Disease, which is also known as Gluten Allergy. I asked to speak with the manager of the day, Iriben (brother of Manuel), in regard to gluten-free food options on the menu. Iriben guided me to select a delicious grilled chicken salad with lettuce, tomatoes and peppers. It was so good. He reassured me the kitchen staff would do their best to prepare it with no cross contamination. I did not become ill after eating here. (Thus, I waited to write my review Monday mid-morning June 9th to make sure.) I recommend Manuel’s Cantina, for Celiac’s as long as you are an advocate for yourself.

Bar none the some of the best not only Mexican Food, but some of the best food I've had. I've eaten there probably 10 or more times. The chips and salsa are incredible and my dish of choice is the Durango Special. The meat is seasoned and tender and the cheese sauce is the best I've eaten. It's worth the wait and the prices are very reasonable and portions large.
