Steak was almost 1/2" thick. Couldn't tell if it was medium or medium rare. Very small lots of fat and big bone.

My wife and I both got the ribeye dinner. The 14 oz (???) steak was about a 1/4 inch thick and I may have eaten half of mine. The rest was grizzle and fat. The service was friendly but very, very slow. We won't be back.
Mislead about size of steak. Food overcooked,no prices on steak meal and way overpriced for what you get

What a nice change. Love the atmosphere and the butcher brown paper table cover. Steak was great. Burger with egg great. Banana bread sweet! Service good. Will be back for more.
Hands down best food I've had in a long time

This place is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED!! Staff was very kind but $28 for exactly the same $5 filets you get from Hyvee! No go for me. I ordered mine med rare, too rare for me. I sent it back and it wasn’t much better the second time. I took two bites that’s all I could endure. I was a little disappointed she didn’t offer make my disappointment any better. My husband had the ribeye and he enjoyed it, had good flavor. The bacon candy was delightful! But again for $15.98.. fine dinning prices for less than bar atmosphere. Much better places to eat at the Lake!!

There was nothing spectacular about the saloon and it extremely overpriced. The table cloth was brown paper, like a grocery bag. The main entrance opened IN, which I think might be an OSHA violation.
I have had far better food in far nicer restaurants and paid notably less. $11 for a grilled cheese sandwich, $39 for a 10oz ribeye and $14 for a bloody mary that probably didn't have any liquor in it.
I was very disappointed for the $70 +tip that I spent on a single meal.
Parking: Lot's of parking because the place was empty. And I can see why

Terribly overpriced! Much higher quality, better service and better than biscuit and gravy diner atmosphere is available a few miles away at the Lake or Jefferson City. Don't waste your gas to go there. I guess if you live within 2 miles and have no other choice its OK but the time and effort will be worth it. I'm frankly shocked this place is still in business.

We had the ribeyes. They came out just perfect. The juice they put on top really makes for a great meal. Very friendly service too. Highly recommend.

Very, very good food. The Pig Candy (candied bacon) is life changing and I'm pretty sure it will haunt my dreams until I go back. The steak was on point. The burger was very good and very generous amount of fries. I took a sip of the Bloody Mary (bonus candied bacon!) and it was delicious and not spicy, which I dig. The pickle in the Bloody Mary tied the flavor together very nicely. Friendly and welcoming folks there, too, and you get to see your dinner grazing behind the building. :D The hours are limited, but trust me - it's worth it. We went a bit ham today because we were celebrating something, but you could easily get out of there for $75 for 2 people for a nice dinner out. Not to be missed.

Four of us went last night for he first time. The staff and owner were very nice. However the food was not good especially for the price. The ribeye was very thin and overdone. The diner requested medium rare and it was well done. I had scallops. Nothing on the menu indicated they were wrapped in a huge piece of bacon. The owner asked me why I didn’t eat the bacon. I told her I didn’t like bacon and she told me I should have told her.How could I when it was not in the description on the menu? Salad too expensive.

This place was unbelievable!!! We just so happened upon this place by accident, and what a treat it was! FYI, it's small and reservations are reccomend. We met Ralph, the individual who took care of us at the bar and enjoyed every bit of his knowledge about cattle. We all ordered the Ribeye special with shrimp, and I couldn't complain if I wanted to! The staff was beyond friendly, what a perfect spot for a great steak on your way to the lake. 5 stars!

This is my honest opinion…..Place is very tiny first of all, when I had gotten there waited about 7 minutes to be asked if I wanted a drink seemed like there was only one older man working there very busy for him. No kid meal options! They have steak but no A1 or any steak sauce when I asked for some I got a rude response from a old lady ((( if our steak needed sauce we wouldn’t serve that))) they seem too proud, steak wasn’t even that great and super thin for what I paid for…. It isn’t a very inviting atmosphere there. Overpriced on top of all this the cook looked very young and the only one cooking why it took so long for our food.

Very cool location being within the Miller County Stockyards, got to look at some sheep and cattle as I enjoyed my meal. Very cool place and the building is pretty neat as well with all the different older type farming
