Terribly overpriced! Much higher quality, better service and better than biscuit and gravy diner atmosphere is available a few miles away at the Lake or Jefferson City. Don't waste your gas to go there. I guess if you live within 2 miles and have no other choice its OK but the time and effort will be worth it. I'm frankly shocked this place is still in business.

Very, very good food. The Pig Candy (candied bacon) is life changing and I'm pretty sure it will haunt my dreams until I go back. The steak was on point. The burger was very good and very generous amount of fries. I took a sip of the Bloody Mary (bonus candied bacon!) and it was delicious and not spicy, which I dig. The pickle in the Bloody Mary tied the flavor together very nicely. Friendly and welcoming folks there, too, and you get to see your dinner grazing behind the building. :D The hours are limited, but trust me - it's worth it. We went a bit ham today because we were celebrating something, but you could easily get out of there for $75 for 2 people for a nice dinner out. Not to be missed.
Four of us went last night for he first time. The staff and owner were very nice. However the food was not good especially for the price. The ribeye was very thin and overdone. The diner requested medium rare and it was well done. I had scallops. Nothing on the menu indicated they were wrapped in a huge piece of bacon. The owner asked me why I didn’t eat the bacon. I told her I didn’t like bacon and she told me I should have told her.How could I when it was not in the description on the menu? Salad too expensive.

This place was unbelievable!!! We just so happened upon this place by accident, and what a treat it was! FYI, it's small and reservations are reccomend. We met Ralph, the individual who took care of us at the bar and enjoyed every bit of his knowledge about cattle. We all ordered the Ribeye special with shrimp, and I couldn't complain if I wanted to! The staff was beyond friendly, what a perfect spot for a great steak on your way to the lake. 5 stars!

This is my honest opinion…..Place is very tiny first of all, when I had gotten there waited about 7 minutes to be asked if I wanted a drink seemed like there was only one older man working there very busy for him. No kid meal options! They have steak but no A1 or any steak sauce when I asked for some I got a rude response from a old lady ((( if our steak needed sauce we wouldn’t serve that))) they seem too proud,steak wasn’t even that great and super thin for what I paid for…. It isn’t a very inviting atmosphere there. Overpriced on top of all this the cook looked very young and the only one cooking why it took so long for our food.

Over all the food was good but very pricey. For instant I had a half salad for $10. Not any bigger or different than a side salad that comes with a dinner at other restaurants. Basic well Bourbon and coke for $10. All ice very little bourbon and coke in the glass. Only bottle beer. Not the best bang for the buck! Way better local restaurants for the money.

My wife and I had a most wonderful dinner here. The ribeye steaks were perfectly cooked. The veg accompanied was tasty contrasts of texture and flavors. The chef came out and personally checked on how we liked the dinner. We had the banana bread and ice creamed. It was light and fluffy like a cake. But the butter and banana bread were delicious on top. The scoop of ice cream was the perfect temperature counterpoint to the warm fluffy banana butter cake bread.

What a GREAT place! Took my family there and couldn't get over how neat this place is! They tore down some old buildings and built The Saloon! The service was excellent as well as the food! Plenty of parking for even semi's! Seems there is some great plans for the future like a petting zoo and some outdoor games! I will definetly be back. Sorry Dave! I'll fix the pictures so they are not sideways! Feel free to turn the picture rotate button off on your phone and you will see beautiful pictures! ????Kid-friendliness: Crayons on the table and they can draw on the tables!Parking: Parking is huge! Anything could park there unless you come in a Boeing 747.Wheelchair accessibility: Single level with a tiny bump getting onto the porch.

Visited the Saloon for first time this evening. And it was everything we had hoped it would be. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. The atmosphere was historical, warm and welcoming. The service was attentive and friendly. Enjoyed meeting Debbie and visiting with the owners. May have to become a regular! Did I mention the fresh baked banana bread mini loaf and vanilla ice cream?…….
