Love the family atmosphere. Good home cooked food. This is our family’s go-to breakfast stop when we are in town.
an amazing establishment the staff is so polite and nice
It's amazing food and service best place in town and omg the owner is fabulous, if anyone thinks she's rude has lost their ever loving mind go in and yell can I get an oh Yeah really loud
Great breakfast HUGE pancakes. Very nice server. Will definitely be back.
Great hometown restaurant
The best breakfast in town. Do you love pancakes? I get chocolate chip pancakes it's a order of 2. But I can barely eat 1 they are so huge. Loaded hashbrowns are great as well!
Great breakfast and great service
I’m a bit surprised by the negative reviews on here, as they most talk about “service” over quality or the overall experience.
I’m not a local, but I’m a local by marriage. We’re here in Ellington a couple times a year and I feel bad that it’s taken me this long to stop in.
Today, I was in early, about 8:30. Only one person working, but that worked out fine with the fairly light crowd there.
The food itself was very good. Excellently made omelette, a standard hash-brown patty (kind of hard to screw that one up) and some really good coffee.
The service was fine. She didn’t drive me crazy being over the top, but didn’t let me go unattended.
I rated Double A 5 stars, because there simply was nothing bad about my experience at all. I felt welcomed and well cared for. I’d certainly recommend it and I’ll be back again soon.
My dad and I stopped for a quick lunch on a road trip, we got simple lunches that were super delicious, the waitress and the woman I am assuming was the owner were both very prompt and friendly, even though we are the dreaded New Yorkers, not sure what these other reviews are about, saying they are unfriendly to non-locals. Super low prices and adorable baby on premises which is always a bonus.
Cheeseburger and fries. Delicious! Seasoned with something that was very tasty. A real pattied out burger! Glad we stopped!

The food was good.. after waiting an extra long time for it. Service is subpar. Looking at property in the area and this made me look elsewhere. Meeting "the locals" to get a feel of the place and I know I don't want to be a local there.

If you're not a local, don't bother. You will be ignored and then blamed for it. Owner is incredibly rude.

Restaurant is cute I went on reviews tonight while in town. I can say we were extremely disappointed. One other table beside us and we waited an hr for food! Poor kids were so hungry! The waitress wasn't friendly couldn't even bring silverware. Guess we were supposed to spread mayo with our fingers. Took her forever to ring up our ticket too. We eat at alot of places in different towns this was one of the worse. Grilled Chicken so small and dry just pitiful. Definitely will not be back nor recommend!

Enjoyed a great breakfast here today. I ordered the Mountain Top and the Chocolate Wonder. The biscuit and gravy on the Mountain Top were excellent! The rolled ice cream was also great. We will be back.
