Today my mom and I went into Roosters for lunch. We had the fried pickles with the dill aoli. The breading was so good. You could actually taste all the seasoning. For the main course we both decided on the mushroom Swiss burger with a side of mayo for myself and miracle whip for my mother. It was delicious. It is so hard to find places with well seasoned food that you can taste. The burger was juicy and even had a cheese pull. The waitress was so nice, along with the owner....
If you're out riding on your motorcycle, just drive around looking at the quaint town of Ellington, Missouri, and then you need to stop in at Roosters Catfish & BBQ restaurant. Everything on the menu has a unique name for the food that you will be ordering. Folks , I highly recommend the chicken tenders plus side items to go with this lip-smacking meal. If this doesn't fill your tummy up, then order their delicious deserts . We will definitely be back.
Was pleasantly surprised by Rooster’s. Probably the best fried catfish and hushpuppies I’ve ever had from a restaurant, from here to Chicago to New York. Though that may be because they make theirs very very similar to how my parents always made theirs. Thanks for the unexpected walk down memory lane. And the service was very friendly and helpful.
