Bought dinner for 4. Worst El Mag I've ever been to. I will never return.
I have been here twice and both times the service is lacking to say the least. Most of the
food is good. Queso is runny and tasteless.

I regret to update my previous 5-star review of El Maguey to a 3-star rating. Unfortunately, the service has slightly decreased over time. On recent visits, we've had to call for a waiter to get service, which was never an issue before. Additionally, the quality of the food has become inconsistent, with some dishes being great while others miss the mark. It's disappointing to see a once favorite spot lose its shine, and I hope they can return to the high standards they once upheld. With Excelsior Springs having multiple Mexican restaurant, I prefer the other one over this one. They always deliver on the quality of food, and service.
